Tommy had never been to a strip club in his life, so without people to talk to, he found himself sitting at a table right next to the edge of the currently unoccupied stage, holding a cup of water in one hand while awkwardly bobbing his head to the music and trying to ignore the balding, potbellied man at the table next to him, who was getting a lap dance from a scantily-clad woman who looked at least half the guy's age.

Tommy wrinkled his nose, gulping down more water. He'd been sitting here for the past hour, looking for Tubbo. The guy was nowhere to be found, and neither was Ranboo (who usually stuck out like a sore thumb because of how damn tall he was).

"Oh, hey kid."

Tommy yelped in surprise, practically jumping out of his shoes in fright.

Foolish was sitting next to him now, a cheerful grin on his face. How the hell that six foot tall muscled mammoth of a man had managed to sneak up on him, he had no idea.

"Holy shit!" Tommy hissed. "The fuck do you want?"

"Well, I don't have to be down on the racetrack for a little while longer," Foolish said, leaning back in his chair with a shrug. "You looked like you could use some small talk, kid. Where're your friends?"

Tommy scowled.

"They're not my... my friends," he muttered, scowling down at his glass. "They're pretty much just tolerating me."

Foolish gave him a quizzical look. "Tubbo seems to like you."

Tommy winced.

"Probably just an act," he retorted.

Foolish snorted.

"What's so funny, you dickhead?" Tommy spat, whipping around to face him.

"I know what's going on here," Foolish giggled, nudging him. "You're new, aren't you? Fell in with them by accident, probably?"

Tommy blinked. "What—"

"You remind me of my adoptive brother," Foolish remarked. "Real fuckin' skittish when my dad found him and took him in. Wouldn't leave dad's side and was terrified of me for the first few weeks. But what I remember most is that he was convinced that he was being a burden because he couldn't fight or hunt at first, and that that was all in his head! You see, Tubbo and Wilbur and Ranboo probably like you a lot more than you think, and it'll get more obvious when you get more comfortable with them. Trust me, buddy."

He grinned hopefully.

Tommy scowled. He didn't like that Foolish made sense, in a strange way.

"Speak for yourself," he huffed. "Things're different from where I'm from."
