Brianna's POV

Despair. Pain. Guilt. Loss. I have loss the one person that I grew fond all in a matter of hours. She's become a best friend and sister to me. Why did she have to sacrifice herself for me? Am I'm worth it?

I exit the tavern before mouthing to her "Give me Hell" and she responds agreeing with me which makes still insecure that she'll be safe with him. I run out with tears running down my face in search of Roger. I have to get her back but I must respect her wishes. I will find my Da and my Ma and try to give him chance.

Although this would be hard, I don't want to feel like I'm replacing my dad. He's raised me, and been more a father to me than my bio dad has but it wasn't his fault that he hasn't been there for me throughout my 22 years of life. My mother traveled through the stones because she knew there was war brewing in Scotland. Battle of Culloden.

In a effort in protect me, Jamie advised my Ma to travel through stones and they were apart for 22 years. My Ma went back to find him and I didn't oppose it because she always seemed like she was out of it during most of my childhood. She was physically present during monumental moments of my life but always seem unhappy like her purpose wasn't to be there with my Dad and I.

It was like she was searching for something, or in her case someone. I don't blame Jamie for missing most of childhood. I blame my mother for not telling me about him. I didn't found out the existence of my own biological father until a few weeks ago. He was robbed of my childhood because of a dangerous war between the Jacobites and the British. So I'm find my parents for myself and most importantly Evie. That's the least that I could do after all that she has done for me.

Roger's POV

I stepped outside for outside for some fresh air. After my argument with Bri, I needed some space to clear my head. Our first argument as a married couple was intense to say the least. I said some things that I didn't mean but I never expected her to tell me to leave. Now, I'm walking around the village pondering, gathering my thoughts before I find Bri.

What ever else we fight about we can work it out? Right? After a few hours, I entered the familiar inn that Bri and I spent time together. I noticed that she's not there. Where is she?

"Bri" I yell out.

"Bri.......Brianna, where are yer?" I called out profusely.

Maybe she stepped out. Oh no, I know that she's a woman and she can take care of herself but this time is far more different than our present time. I need to find her. Immediately.

When I turn back, I noticed one of the ladies that Bri was with. I watch as the lass runs towards me with overly huge dog that running behind her. What the hell is going on?

"Mister, Mister Mistressisintrouble!" She says all at once.

"What was that, miss?" I say letting the lass catch her breath.

"Mistress, sh- she's in trouble!" She says with the dog barking in response. She tells me that her name is Lizzie and she was one of Brianna's maids.

"Tell me, what happened now." I say concerned for my wife's wellbeing.

"Evie and me were just idling around the tavern waiting for Mistress to return. When she finally did, she looked upset. Despite her being sad, she walked over to the front of tavern to get some mead when a guy grabbed her. Ah dinnae ken what the man wanted but they seemed be talking about a ring. Thee bastard somehow convinced to get her alone......and, and"

She can't seem to get out her words fast enough before my wife appeared.

"Bri?"

"Roger! I'm glad that I find you!" She says in relief.
