˜"*°•.˜"*°•"can i help you?"•°*"˜.•°*"˜

It's been a few hours, i did some exploring before and picked out my room, mom will know it's my room because i put a post stick note on my door that said the words 'Stella's room'

i'm still ignoring mom and it's not hard to really ignore her since she's busy unpacking all the boxes i rarely see her..plus we have lots of random people coming in and out of the house moving furniture around and fitting carpets into the floor and what not.

My room already had a soft grey carpet..white walls and a window facing the side of our neighbours house, my window faced another window..i was hoping it was the same house and window that belonged to Jaden, i couldn't seem to stop thinking about him.

No i didn't like him like that at all, i just thought he was so nice to me considering the fact i'm a complete stranger to him.
I had made my first ever friend and i've only been here for like 6 hours.
I hope we get closer and i hope i make some more friends...maybe this fresh start was a good idea?

I was sat in the corner of my cold empty room listening to my Spotify playlist on loop until i heard a knock on the door and then it opened, why knock if you will just barge in straight after?
People can be so rude these days, i rolled my eyes and paused the music before looking up to see a man with another behind him, they stared at me before one spoke up,

"Hello you must be Stella, we're here to help your Mom fit in furniture and stuff since she can't do it all by herself." the bearded man said smiling.

I stood up and gave him a look as if to say 'what's that gotta do with me?'

"we've finished all the rooms except yours, can we come in..we should only take around half an hour?" he said..i felt bad for him he looked nervous, who would be scared of me i'm just some dumb teenage girl.

I get where he was coming from though, i just looked at him and nodded my head once before smiling at him and grabbing my phone and airpod case, i walked out of my bedroom.

The house looked decent now i guess, things were slightly less empty and there was more furniture than before, we have carpet almost everywhere now and we have some more things spreader about to make the house look less empty, i walked down the wooden stairs slowly looking around the house as much as possible.

I decided i'd go take a walk around the neighbourhood and see if there was anything other than boring houses.

I put on my Jordan 4's before heading outside and walking down the tiled driveway. My mom was outside talking to a Woman who was stood behind a fence, she must be one of our neighbours..i wonder if she knew Jaden.

Mom turned her head and smiled at me then signalled me with her hands to come on over, i sighed and put on a fake smile so the neighbour didn't think i was rude and i just walked over slowly to them both. As i got closer, i soon realised the woman was actually super pretty. She had dark brown hair and looked super healthy.

I stopped in-front of them both and the lady smiled at me,

"hello you must be Stella, your so pretty your mom has told me so much about you..i'm your new neighbour Jessica!"

she seemed sweet but i still wanted to just smile slightly, i decided to smile as much as possible and i waved gently.

Mom gave me the proud mom kind of look and it immediately embarrassed me.

"Jessica has two sons she thinks you'd get along with well..one of them even play baseball don't you like baseball?"
Mom said looking at me giving the brightest smile, i looked back at Jessica and said quietly,

"i used to play but i don't play anymore."
she looked at me quite sadly and spoke up,

"i won't ask you why as it isn't my business but if you'd maybe like i could ask my son Jaden to practice with you sometime?" she said to me.

i didn't care about anything then besides the fact she just said, Jaden? He was her son...

"Jaden?" i accidentally spoke quite louder than before.

She looked at me quite confused but then laughed a little,

"what's he been up to now, have you already met him?" she said still laughing.

"nothing bad, he just helped me move some boxes before." i said slowly going quiet again.

She just smiled and started to tell my mom about Jaden and his last baseball game, i didn't wanna listen because...my mom just laughs too much and it irritates me, someone could say hi to her and she'd basically be rolling about on the floor with tears running down her face.

I walked away from the both and headed down the road which looked longest, hoping for some peace and quiet.

I unpaused my playlist again and closed my eyes appreciating the warm air that rushed against my body. We used to live in Minnesota and it was always cold there, i guess it was nice to finally be somewhere warmer.

I was still walking with my eyes closed, i didn't think i'd bump into anything because the pavement was straight with nothing blocking my way when i last checked.
But as i took my next step i ran into something..or someone.

I felt a pair of sweaty-ish hands grab me as i tripped up over whoever this was.

I opened my eyes and looked up to see a young boy in a tank top and what looked like boxing shorts, he had a water bottle in his hand which was now on the grass which i'm assuming is because he dropped it helping me.

He had short hair this time, the same glowing skin expect just a lot sweatier and a little slit in his eyebrow.

"can i help you?"
he said as i stared at him all embarrassed .
