It was the same boring science I had to go to every day. I sat behind Will. I was doodling in my textbook. Mr Clarke was going on about the human brain, he even had a fake one.

"Meet the human brain. I know. I know, it doesn't look like much. A little gross even, right? But consider this. There are a hundred billion cells inside of this miracle of evolution.
All working as one. No, no, I did not misspeak. I did not stutter. A hundred billion." Mr.Clarke went on, making my friends look at each other in shock, but I didn't really care.

He got interrupted by the principal coming in with a girl. This girl had wavy orange hair, blue eyes, and freckles. She was wearing a red coat with jeans, and green vans.

"Ah, this must be our new student." Mr. Clarke beamed as all eyes where suddenly on her.
"Indeed. All yours." The principal advised as she tried to go sit down.
"All right. Hold up. You don't get away that easy.Come on up.Don't be shy.Dustin, drum roll." Mr Clarke told her. Dustin closed his textbook and did a drumroll on it.
"Class, please welcome, all the way from sunny California, the latest passenger to join us on our curiosity voyage, Maxine." Mr Clarke introduce as her and I made eye contact for a second.
"It's Max." She corrected and suddenly I knew she was MADMAX.
"Sorry?"
"Nobody calls me Maxine. It's Max." She explained to Mr. Clarke.
"Mad Max." Lucas whispered to the four of us.
"Well, all aboard, Max." Mr. Clarke replied as she took her seat in the back row. She crossed her arms as she sat down.

The five of us all turned our heads to look at her.
