I'm Jennifer Hopper, but everyone calls me Jen. I'm 13 years old. My dad is Jim Hopper the chief of police in Hawkins. My mom is Diane.

My dad fought in the Vietnam War where more 58,220 U.S. soldiers died. He was only eighteen, his Uncle Sam made him go. He was in the Chemical Corps.

After the war is when his life really went downhill. My mom really wanted a baby, one baby. I was born April 23rd 1971, as a Fraternal twin. Sara was my twin, my other half. At the age of six she was diagnosed with cancer, at seven she passed away. Everything fell apart after that.

My parents got a divorce, my dad stayed at Hawkins and my mom went to the city. My mom wanted a "fresh start" so she made me stay with my dad. She even got remarried and had another kid, I was forgotten. After that my dad couldn't take it so he turned to alcohol.

My dad was the best dad he could be. I remember when I would go on walks with my dad people would say stuff like "they boys will be all over her" or "your gonna have to hide her from boys" I just thought that was gross.

Sara was really my only friend. At lunch I didn't have anyone to sit with, at recess I sat in the grass by myself. Until one day Will Byers, Lucas Sinclair, and Mike Wheeler asked me if I wanted to share a pack of M&M with them. In fourth grade there was a new kid named Dustin Henderson and we befriended him. To this day we're all best friends. We never left each other's side until last year when Will went missing. I was absolutely terrified.

One night while we were all looking for Will we ran into Eleven. Eleven was from Hawkins Lab but she escaped. Eleven is this really cool girl who has powers, Mike loved her.Eleven was being hunted down 24/7 by these weirdos. Eleven opened had opened a gate to the upside down.

The boys enjoy playing a game called D&D, and in D&D there's a demogorgon. The demogorgon was in the upside down and it kidnapped Will ( he also killed Barb). Will even had a funeral. The only way to get Will back was for to go in the upside down and get him, which my dad and Wills mom Joyce Byers did. Eleven defeated the demogorgon by using her powers, and turn it into ashes, but in the process she "vanished".

She wasn't dead, she was in the upside down. She escaped using her powers. My dad found her and took her in,but we couldn't live where we did it was to risky. We moved in to my great-grandfather cabin. I couldn't tell anyone she was alive and living with me.
