Wait. Did I. Shoot. Did I just. Did I just protect her? Well it's just nothing though. Hopefully she didn't think anything more than that because.. no. It sounds stupid to me to like someone at first sight and I definitely think that this is a ridiculous matter. I don't believe in love at the first sight and I hope she doesn't either because it's just no.

"Alright.. guys. I'll read these forms and I'll contact you both if you're accepted. So now.. uhm I guess it's done," we returned our forms to Mr J.T and slowly make our way out ankwardly. Phew, luckily the whole ankward interview is done. I took a deep breath and let out a small sigh. Oh boy, sure it was tiring and ankward indeed just by having a small interview. I couldn't imagine myself working. I bet I would probably faint in between my working hours.

"Hey, Jay." Jessica stood next to me with her wriggly hair all over the place. Wow. It's unbelievable that her hair looked like this for the entire, whole interview session. Sloppy and messy. Her hair is quite disturbing for a pretty-faced girl like her, just saying. Not that I'm being mean like I'm always am though. But seriously. This girl needs to know what hair clips are made for. Yikes.

"Yes?" I blinked, still focusing on her hair.

"Thanks for just now. You know.. for covering it up for me. It's not easy for everyone to accept people like me," She smiled. It's hard not to look at her hair but sadly I'm tall, urgh. Can someone just clip it up already?

"Sure. Not a problem. By the way, uhm." Oh shoot. How do I bring 'your-hair-is-messy' subject out? She seems nice and I can't be mean just like that. Oh damn it, this is silly.

"I'm going to get some stuff for my mum. Mothers' Day is coming so.. would you want to help me choose her something?" I asked with a gentle smile. This is an ankward invitation, but whatever. Someone has to fix her hair immediately and on the contrary, I really need to buy something for my mum as a Mothers Day gift.

"Sure! I would love to. Shall we go?" Jessica smiled in return as she lead the way out.

"There's a store down the road at the end of a junction that sells accessories and stuff. Maybe you would find something nice for your mum there," She pointed at the street ahead of us.

"Hm. Sounds great. So.. what's your plan for Mothers Day? Any surprises for your mum?" I asked while we walk side by side on the pathway.

"Oh. Hm. I'm not sure- Well, I have never met my mother ever since I was 7, so.." Geez, I should've asked that. Her smile is changing into a sad frown. I gulped with a pang of guilt that I felt in my face. Why do I sound so mean?

"Oh. Sorry for asking. I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay, Jay. Anyway we're here!" Jessica forcefully lit up a smile as we stepped right infront of the shop.

Soon after we get in, her mood changes bit by bit. I hope I would get her a few pretty clips for her hair. I should get something she likes to cheer her up. Hm.

Well, it's my fault for bringing up that mother subject anyway. I guess it's fine to let a loose to spend a few bucks on fancy hair clips.. right?
