Chapter 3

As they continued talking, it was already 5:30 pm and the bell was ringing with someone screaming that it was dinner time.

"So, are you moving into town or is this just your parents making you come here for fun or for a punishment?" Asked Ziggy as she guided Artemis towards the cafeteria.

Artemis eyebrow rose in amusement as her facial expression conveyed nothing. "Mmm, first question maybe, second is for fun and I'm quiet interested in the rumors of the town. What was it. Oh, yes the witch and her killers." Replied Artemis as she stared forward.

"Oh." Replied Ziggy. "Since you may be moving to town then, a little warning be careful of fucking sunnysiders their a bitch, cause they believe their above everyone. But I'll tell you the horror stories later, come on we're here."

Ziggy grabbed Artemis hand and pulled her into the cafeteria, not stopping even if people turned to stare at them. Grabging the plates she handed them to Artemis and began picking out the foods and told her what to stay clear of.

Following Ziggy towards the seats where she assumed her sister would be sitting to a leg stuck out towards Ziggy.

"Ah!" Ziggy shouted as she fell, but when she noticed she didn't hit the floor, she ooened her eyes to see everyone looking at her as Artemis held onto her waist to keep her from falling.

"You can share with me. I'm not too big on dinner today." Said Artemis as she righted Ziggy into standing and before she left towards the seats with Ziggy she held her middle finger up towards the perpetrator, Shelia and her little crew.

"WHAT!" Shouted Ziggy as she noticed the staring.

Everyone turned back around to what they were doing, only giving glances at their table. One boy especially couldn't keep his eyes off her the times he saw her.

Sharing the food, Artemis observed her table people and noticed that some have already sinned a few times since they were teenagers. Really she couldn't blame them, this town was boring and the onky remotely interesting thing right now was the Goode's, Ziggy and the witch with her little killer crew.

"Ziggy, are you going to return the favor to that person who tripped you." Said artemis as she turned towards Ziggy sitting on her right.

Ziggy looked shock before turning angry, "Shit, should've know she would have tripped me, that bitch."

"NO!" Shouted a girl infront of her with short black hair.

To Artemis she looked like those who like pretending to be perfect when their not and try to cover that up. It would be amusing to see how this girl would break in the future from thepressure of trying.

"If you get any strikes then you'll get kicked out and it gets me kicked out too, Ziggy." the girl said.

"Mhm, I'll take it if it means getting that bitch back." Replied Ziggy who slammed her fist onto the table.

Artemis eyes wondered to the boy next to the girl. Oh, it was interesting to her since you don't see a virgin boy much because most males just want to get rid of that tittle or they are just pricks.

Holding out her hand with a sly smile, "Artemis Morningstar, pleasure" she said smoothly.

The boy quickly snapped out of his trance and gulped, "Ah, Thomas Slater, please call me tommy." He said shaking her hand.

"Cindy Berman, Ziggy's sister and Tommy's girlfriend." Interrupted the girl. Ziggy could tell her sister was jealous at her new friend and rolled her eyes.

Artemis smiled and nodded, quickly turning to Ziggy who told her about the killers of town. As she listened, she could feel the stares of the boy she was most interested in. Artemis began to smirk and nodded to Ziggy that she was still listening.

As she turned to face his table that was sat diagonally across her on the sunnysiders side, she looked into his dark brown eyes.

Nick was caught off guard from being caught staring at the new girl. She was on his mind alot even though he just met her, he couldn't stop thinking about her. As he turned away to his dinner his cheeks turned a light pink.

Artemis smirked at the sight, "Hey, who is he?" Asked Artemis.

Following her line of sight, before frowning, "That's Nick Goode, the oldest in his family, King of Sunnyvale and future Sheriff of this little town. Hey, if your interested then be careful of his fangirls, but its best not too, sunnysiders like him are a piece of shit." Said Ziggy as she played with her food.

"Sad" Artemis whispered, putting her hand under her chin.

"Huh."

Answering Ziggy, "Sad that his choice of future was chosen from him. If it was me I would've rebelled for my own choices." Ziggy nodded understanding since she too wouldn't want to her future to be taken from her.

"Finished." said Ziggy, snapping out of thought as she lifted the tray and walked to put it in the wash as Artemis smiled at her back.

'Funny, for such a girl with so much spirit, you would think that she would be determined to show the sunnysiders that even shadysiders were better. But, she is a child, it would take time." Thought Artemis as she stood to follow Ziggy out. Nodding to the table companions as she walked to the cabin, other people following out.
