Soon enough, I was escorted out of the restroom to my new room. I peeked inside the window to see all the boys from my maze standing in there, huddling around Newt, obviously talking about me. I could tell Minho and Thomas were scolding him.

I tapped one of the guards on the shoulder. "Um, excuse me. But shouldn't I be with women? I don't see any ladies in there," I said.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but all our other rooms are full, unless you would like to be by yourself," the woman said.

I didn't want to be by the Gladers, but I also didn't want to be alone. "Boys aren't permitted to be naked at any time in the dorms, only at the bathrooms," the woman said, trying to comfort.  I thought about this. "Okay, I'll be fine. Thank you," I said.

The woman opened the door, swiping her card and I felt as if I was walking into my own death room.

I began to walk in, everyone staring at me. I tried not to make eye contact with Newt but I accidentily did a few times. "Take a picture, it lasts longer," I joked with a straight face.

I walked past them and sat on a top bunk in the corner of the room. I placed my bag on my bed and laid down, having the rough day I had. So much had happened..

I woke up, ate, showered, met my two brothers, hung around my boyfriend, he became jealous, we broke up, hopefully only being temporary. Soon enough, everyone started walking to their bunks, but Minho walked to me.

Soon, Minho joined me, hopping on the top bunk. "You sure you're OK, right?" Minho asked. "I'm fine," I said, turning my back. "Y'know, you can tell me anything, shank," he said.

"Yeah, I know," I said. But I really didn't. "Well, its lights-out. Goodnight, shank," he said, hopping off my bed. I chuckled.

"Night shuck-face," I said.

I laid my head on my pillow, with my hands under my head.

As concluded, another dream bombarded me. This time, it was about the other Gladers before the Maze. Later, I woke up by the sound of the sink running. I looked down to the sink to see Thomas, washing his face.

"Thomas," I whispered. He quickly looked at me, startled. "Sorry," I said. "It's fine," he mumbled. "What're you doing up," I asked.

"Couldn't sleep. Same with you?" He asked. "No. I couldn't stay awake," I joked, even let out a giggle.

Soon, he hopped back into bed and a few minutes later, we heard some creaking in the vents. "The shuck?" I mumbled. I slowly climbed out of my bed and and crawled to the floor under Thomas's bed. Me and Thomas peeked our heads under his bed.

"Ssh," a boy said, hiding. I fell backwards and somehow people didn't wake up when I keft out a small shriek. He was halfway in the vent. Then, two more familiar faces popped up. "Hey sis," Mason whispered. "Mason? Is Max in there with you," I whispered back. "Yeah."

"Come on," the boy said. I recognized the boy, he had sat alone in the lunchroom, hood over his head.

Relunctantly, I followed the boy, but really cause Mason and Max were in there. I knew that I could trust them. So, then I crawled through the ventz with these boys. "Come on, Thomas. We can trust them," I whispered, hopping into the vent.

I followed the three boys in front of me with Thomas behind me. "C'mon. This way," the boy said.

"Y/N," Thomas said behind me. "Yeah?" I whispered back. "I'm sorry about Newt. Y'know, about the thing in the Cafe," Thomas said. "Yeah, I am too. But hopefully, it won't last," I said. "But I'm still pissed at him."
