Once I got home, I quickly scavenged through my closet, trying to find a decently good outfit to wear to work. I pulled out some random clothes, which conveniently went together well. It was a white blouse with puffed out long sleeves and long high-waisted cuffed jeans. I stripped down my sweatpants and hoodie, and began to put on the blouse in a rush.
"Crap, crap, crap!" I shouted at myself, then trying to slip on my jeans. I looked down to button the pants, then zip them up. I sat on the foot of my bed and tugged my "no-show" socks onto my feet. I bent down to grab my converses, which I wore all the time. I quickly grabbed my backpack from my bed.
"I'm gonna be late!" I said as I ran out of the door, pulling my arms through the straps of my backpack.

"Hey guys!" I ran through the door, slowing down once I got behind the counter. I placed my hands on my knees, attempting to catch my breath.
"You're late," spoke Jack blandly, stacking books onto a bookshelf in front of me.
"Yeah, Yeah, I know," I responded, grabbing my apron on the rack behind me. I slid off my backpack, as it thumped to the floor.
"C'mon, Jack, give her a break," Luna scoffed, patting me gently on the back, "She needs one."
"Luna, I told you," I began to tie the apron from behind my back, "I'm fine." I placed my hand on her shoulder, then took a stack of books from the counter. I began to walk towards one of the bookshelves in the back of the shop.
"But that's the problem!" Whined Luna, following me to the bookshelf, "I don't think you are fine about it. {Y/N}, I know you. You haven't been the same since the audition."
"Yes I have," I grunted, reaching high on my tiptoes to place a book onto the top shelf, "Just, don't worry about me. I swear I'm fine." Luna sighed, crossing her arms. She turned around to rest her back against the book shelf.
"Okay, whatever you say," her mouth formed a straight line, "I just worry about you. I mean, I can't have my best friend feeling like crap everyday just because of some stupid judges who couldn't accept the fact that they lost a great ballet dancer."
"I know," I turned around towards her and placed my hands on her shoulders, "and thanks. But just know that I'm fine, okay?" She smiled at me, as I smiled back. I rushed towards the counter to pick up a couple more books laying out.
"So," Jack was near the scanning machine behind the counter, typing in something on his phone, "Do you know what's on the agenda for today, {Y/N}?"
"I'm not sure," I said, making my way back towards the bookshelf.
"What about you, Luna. Do you know what's happening today?" Jack looked up from his phone and pointed his head towards Luna. She poked her head from behind a bookshelf, now looking at him.
"Uh yes, actually," she made her way to Jack and to behind the counter, "We have a birthday party scheduled for today."
"Okay, okay," Jack sighed, scavenging through the mess on the counter.
"Another one?" I groaned, "That makes the third one this week!"
"Yeah," Luna sighed, placing her hands on her hips, "But we have to do anything in order to increase our pay."
"Sure," I lowered my arms, brushing my hands on my mossy green apron. I made my way back to the counter, slumping down into one of the rolley-chairs. Luna and Jack both sat down, sighing.
"Do you all think we'll have a lot of people here? Besides when the birthday party starts," asked Jack.
"Nope," responded Luna, popping the 'p' when she said this.
"We never do," I sighed. We sat there in silence for a couple minutes. I closed my eyes briefly, taking in the quietness. Luna turned her head towards me.
"Where there any cute boys at the audition?-"
"Oh..my..gosh," I said sternly, turning my head slowly.
"Really?! You're really going to ask that?!" Jack said overtop what I said.
"What!" She raised her hands in guilt, "I'm just curious!" I sighed, looking away from her.
"I'm not answering that," I said, crossing my arms. The library was quiet once again.
"You're not denying it," Luna said quickly.
"Luna, please!" Said Jack.
"I'm about to go insane, Luna," I chuckled, then stood up to organize a couple more books. Once I got to the bookshelf, I sat the stack of books on the carpeted floor. I reached into my apron and pulled out a hair band. I gathered all my hair into both my hands and gently pulled it through the hairband, planting a messy bun on the top of my skull. After that, I bent back down to pick up the books from the ground.
I heard the doorbell ring from the front.
