Dongying King - "Even after so many efforts Nei Huisang trembled and recognised Zewu-Jun. All he said was "Brother, I dint do anything".
He wasnt loyal to his master, he wasnt loyal to me. I asked him to gift me Zewu-Jun's arm. And he kept saying, "I dint know.. I cant".
All my efforts were in vain. What was I supposed to do with him now? I simply released him forever as he was of no use for me".
With smirk on his face he moved forward towards Zewu-Jun and placed his sword on his neck. "Like Zewu-Jun be a good boy and seal all your spiritual powers. Else next will be Wen Ning and then my dear Zewu-Jun".
I looked at Zewu-Jun. He looked down and we knew his powers were really sealed. I and Wu Xin both of us sealed our spiritual powers and sat beside him. I never felt so helpless before.
He went inside and we looked at each other. I wanted to ask Zewu-Jun what happened in our absence but before I could ask he came out with tray that had bowls of soup.
Placing the tray on table he walked towards the curtain and pulled them at once. Behind them was a prison. Opening the lock he bought an old lady out on wheelchair. I wondered who is she? Why is she in prison? What exactly is happening here?
Wu Xin had his fist closed. I know he was controlling his anger. So was I? I looked at Zewu-Jun and he was continuously staring at the lady in the wheelchair. Feeling restless I started fidgeting with Yuan's headband. I could only remember words of Yuan which he always said, "Dont go on killing corpses directly. Hanguamg-Jun and Wei Wuxian had always thought to find out reasons of their deeds before punishing them. More than his deeds I wanted answers to my queries - who is he? Why he did this? How he killed my Yuan. Thinking of Yuan rage was building inside me. Its only his headband which helped me keep calm".
Moving forward he placed the bowl of soup in front of me. "This is for you Rulan. Happy to have you as guest in my house. Zewu-Jun wasted so many lotus on his way. I picked all the pods and made your favourite lotus soup. Exactly the way you like it with a dash of pepper on top".
Looking into his eyes I asked him, "I have seen you in fair selling pots. I and Yuan made one pot together as well at your stall. Yuan invited you to get your scars treated. Then why did you kill him when what he wished was your only good. How do you know so much about me? Is that a vermilion dot on your forehead. Are you from Jin clan? Did you follow us after that? Who are you besides being Dongying king?"
I had lost all my control. I grabbed his collar and pushed him. He lost his stance and I realised he is also low on his spiritual powers as I had already sealed mine.
It was Zewu-Jun who helped him from falling.
Zewu-Jun - "Who is this lady in wheelchair? Do I know her? Have I seen her before".
Dongying King moved away from Zewu-Jun's grip.
"You might have seen her before. What she does is only interferes in other's private life to an extent of breaking them. Like you who falsely potray that they care for people around. I hated my father due to her unless you left no opportunity for me to appologize him for my behaviour. She is the reason of his doom. You are the reason for his end. She is the one due to whom I lost my mother. And that night I yelled at my father without even considering he had no other way out. And what did you do? You made it worse. You knew he couldnt refuse you Zewu-Jun. But, what kind of morals it is to enter inside someone's private bedchamber".
Zewu-Jun - "Who are you? What do you want to say exactly?"
Dongying King - "Have the soup placed on your table. My father responded only you still you backstabbed him. Unlike my father dont expect me to answer everything that you ask. Its only Jin Ling here who has right to know anything if he wishes to".
Jin Ling - "I want to know what Zewu-Jun asked".
Dongying King - "You want to know Rulan. Why for Zewu-Jun? Whatever! I have promised Sizhui I will tell you everything. I will keep my promise". Pointing his index finger at her he continued, "She liked witnessing things and then telling them to people around. This is what she does. I kept her alive all these years only to witness my pain which is caused by her. If she wouldnt have sent that letter that day I would have never lost my mother".
With anger he inserted his sword inside the center of the table. "I would have never lost my mother Madam Qin Su".
Turning towards me he continued, "You want to know who I am. I am son of Jin Guangyao and Madam Qin Su, your brother Jin Ling, grandson of Jin Guangshan - Jin Rusong"
I was astounded by his sudden confession!
Taking my palm in his he continued, "That day it was you who had tears in eyes for my father inside Guanyin temple, who risked his own life cautioning father of Nei Mingue's presence. I have seen everything empathising Nei Huisang". Placing his hand on his sword he continued, "It was you who kept this sword with respect in the discussion room, who rebuilt his murals on carriage path, who completed his dream of building lookout towers".
I looked at sword inserted inside table.
It was Hensheng. But wasnt it in Lanlingjin?
Jin Ling - "Did you..?"
Rusong - "Yes, I had been to Lanlingjin. I visited my room, mothers tomb and many more memories. I wanted to meet you but as always you were busy with Yuan playing under the tree. I wondered how could you love those who were responsible for father's death. It was Hanguang-Jun who amputated his hand and Zewu-Jun who killed him that day".
Tears were rolling down his cheeks. Wrapping his arms around my waist he continued, "I am sorry Rulan. I was so wrong. I was always wrong about Sizhui. He is not a Lan, he is not a Wen, he not a Jin. He was above all sects and their designation. You made the best choice brother to have Sizhui in your life as your partner.
I ruined it all.
Please forgive me".
