I sat there, twiddling my thumbs. Nervous butterfly's filled my stomach as the anticipation rose. Today was the day I was going to do this. Well, the day Alice and I were going to do this. We're telling her parents about the baby. No secret keeping anymore.

The couch in Alice's living room seemed awfully rough and uncomfortable. I wiggled around in my seat, until Alice rested her hand on my my leg. Telling me to be still. My heart was pounding, my hands clammy. Alice seemed somewhat calm, not worried or scared. Alice grabbed my hand.

The room was dead silent.

Alice was keeping a hold of my hand. Squeezing it for reassurance. Her parents eyed us down quizzically. Yup! This was the day Alice's parents lose faith and trust in us. Mostly me.

Alice's parents sat opposite of us on the love seat. Her dads face rock hard. Yet, her mum was smiling, hopefully at us. I'm pretty sure her parents were arguing earlier. Ha! That scared me even more. Once we tell them Alice is pregnant, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get my face smashed in.

Alice smiled at me warmly. My face though couldn't form any type of grin. My skin was crawling. My head pounding in my skull, making it hard to concentrate. I was debating on whether to run or not. Way to pick the perfect day to tell them, Alice. Not!

"So, do you need to tell us, Ally?" Her mum used her nickname, making me even more worried. Shit.

"Edward and I have been dating for over a year now," Alice starts off.

Oh boy! Edward? Why did she use my full name?!

"We've gotten very close," she continues.

Close! That was literally correct! Ironic even.

"Like emotionally...romantically,"

Don't say physically Alice! Don't you dare say it!

"...and physically."

She did it! She pushed it to the next level. Her parents know, they have to. Right now they're probably processing this. I am a goner!!

The room was dead silent...again. Her mothers face was scrunched up with confusion. Her dads was a mix of anger and a bit of annoyed. Why wasn't anyone talking? Damn iit somebody say something already!

"What are you implying Alice?" Her mom asks. Shoot, here it goes.

"What do you think mom?" Alice asks now. Great use of the Jedi Mind Trick!

"Are you saying Edward and you had sex?" Her mom asks, yet again. My head gets light.

Alice nods and I look away ashamed. We should've just came out and said she's pregnant. This agony was killing me. Idiotic questions cluttered my brain. What was her parents thinking? Did they already think she was expecting a child? Was I going to die today?

"So you decided to tell us this, why? Decided we should put it on the calendar or something?" Her dad speaks.

"Seriously, are you that stupid you can't even-" Alice starts to yell, but I cut her off.

"Alice is preg-" Now Alice cuts me off.

"Ed! I wanted to say it! God damn it!" Alice glared at me.

"You were yelling at them because they didn't get it." I try to say calmly.

"God! Do you have to rush things? You push and push and push and push until you get your way!" Alice shouts, getting in my face. I try to keep calm. I didn't want to have a huge, blow out, screaming match in front of her parents. Not now.

"No I don't! If it was anyone who rushed anyone, you were the one who rushed me!" I say loudly, then refrain.

"I can't do this anymore!" Alice gets off the couch abruptly. I follow her actions, and face her.
