"That's poison ivy. And that's poison ivy....And that's poison ivy" Stan points out and I furrow my eyebrows
"Where? Where's the poison ivy?" Eddie begins to freak out
"Nowhere,not every fucking plant is poison ivy,Stanley" Richie says and I duck below a tree branch
Bill had walked inside a small sewer and I gag at the smell,definitely never doing this again.
"Watch out Eddie poison ivy!" I point out to a branch with fern leaves on it and Eddie,walks into it,instantly screams and I laugh "joking"
"Okay, I'm starting to get itchy now!" He says and I only roll my eyes
"Do you use the same bathroom as your mother?"
"Sometimes, yeah"
"Then you probably have crabs"
"That's so not funny"
"Can you guys shut up for literally one minute" I sigh as I walk into the sewer,making sure to avoid the water as I already know what it consisted of "my brain is going to explode with you two arguing all the fucking time" I point to Eddie and Richie
"No,she's right,please stop" Stan says and Eddie only scoffs
"Aren't you guys coming in?" Richie asks,changing the subject
I turn back and notice both Eddie and Stan standing at the entrance of the sewer
"Nuh-uh,it's grey water" Eddie points to it,his face turning into disgust
"What the hells grey water?" Me and Richie ask at the same time
"It's basically piss and shit" he throws his hands up "so I'm just telling you!" I roll my eyes "you guys are splashing around in millions of gallons of Derry pee so-"
I watch as Richie picks up a stick,sniffing it and I instantly feel grossed out
"What is wrong with you?" I ask
"Are you serious? What are you-"
"-it doesn't smell like caca to me senior" Richie smirks,holding the stick
"Ok I can smell the from here!"
"It's probably just your breath wafting back into your face"
Suddenly,Eddie turns annoyed
"Have you ever heard of a staph,infection!?"
Richie picks up a plastic bag with the end of the stick
"Oh I'll show you a staph infection-"
"-Richie put it down-"
Richie uses the stick to throw the bag at Eddie who screams,luckily the vines stopped it from hitting him
"Are you retarded!?" Eddie asks Richie
"Can you guys shut the fuck up" I sigh,realising Bill was now holding a shoe making me furrow my eyebrows "Woah" I walk up to him and he lets me examine it "Guys!"
The three of them all shutup and look at me and Bill,he shines the torch on the shoe
"Shit" Stands voice cracks "don't tell me that's-"
"-No" bill says,gulping "Georgie wore galoshes"
Richie walks up to me and Bill cautiously,taking the sneaker from Bill
"Who's sneaker is it then?" I ask and Richie gulps,obviously reading someone's name on the inside of the shoe
"It's Betty Ripsoms"
"Oh,shit" Eddie huffs and my eyes widen "oh god,oh fuck!" He begins to freak out "I don't like this"
"How do you think Betty feels? Running around these tunnels with only one fricken shoe" he laughs as he hops on one leg,I hit him and he grabs his arm "What the fuck dude!"
"I hope you faceplant" I say before walking away from him
Eddie moves out of the way to let me back outside the sewer,he grabs my arm to stop me from falling,then,he grabs his puffer and I can't help but shake my head
"What if she's still here?" Stan suddenly asks and my eyes slightly widen
"No,we're not doing some ghostbuster Scooby doo murder mystery shit" I say and they all give me confused looks "I'm just saying"
Richie scoffs,him and Bill walking further into the tunnel
"Eddie,come on!" Richie calls out
"My mom will have an aneurysm if she finds out that we're playing down here! I'm serious!"
"Chill" I say and Eddie looks at me,slightly embarrassed "what your mom doesn't know won't hurt her"
"If...if I was Betty Ripsom..I would want us to find me" Bill begins "Georgie too"
I sigh,beginning to go into the sewers
"What if I don't want to find them?" Eddie suddenly asks and I turn to look at him shocked,he can't be serious? "I mean no offence Bill but I don't want to end up like-" he stops himself,gulping. I watch Bill's face fall,I feel so heartbroken for him
As much as I fucking can't stand Richie,if he went missing and there was a small chance he could still be alive,I'd do exactly what Bill is doing right now
"I don't wanna go missing either" Eddie suddenly adds on
"He has a point" Stan speaks up
"You too?" Bill asks hurt
"It's summer...we're supposed to be having fun" I roll my eyes "this isn't fun" he sighs "this is scary and disgusting-" suddenly a big splash catches us of guard and I begin to slip but Richie grabs my arm,steading me
I watch as a boy,laying in the water tries to get up but falls back down again
Me,Richie and Bill run out of the sewer,stopping at the entrance
"Holy shit" I mumble
"What happened to you?" Richie calls out
Me,Eddie and Stan all rush to the boy's side,helping him up
