-I know this scene is before (I think) they defeated it but it kind of makes more sense to me to put it after -
As I step down the ladder and into the 'clubhouse' as Ben calls it,I begin to feel un easy
Bev comes in after me and we both look around,it was alright but obviously Ben isn't a builder and this place looks pretty old
"What the dick is this?" Richie asks as he fixes his glasses "how'd you build it?"
"When did you build it?" Bill then asks,looking around as well
"Here and there...I guess" he shrugs
"Did you do it by yourself?" I ask Ben and he nods
"It was already dug out from something so I just had to reinforce the walls and...get some wood for the Uhh roof door and that's pretty much it...pretty good for my first time huh?" he leans agaisnt a wooden pillar holding the roof up and a part of the roof falls making my eyes widen
I go and stand next to Richie
"Now that's a cool feature" Richie sarcastically says "what happens when you put your hand on the other pillar professor?" I smack the back of his head
"Ok you see this is exactly why there are safety codes,why we have permits!" Eddie claps his hand together "this place is a death trap you understand that?"
"Well it's a work in progress ok Eddie"
"Just so you know,I get hurt your reliable- also what is this? This switchman iron maiden-"
"-that's a flashlight-"
"-what is that a horse hitch? When do you have horses down- oh this is cool" he picks up a paddle ball
"That was like three dollars,so be careful with that please"
I stand in between Richie and Bill as I watch the next scene in amusement
"I have one of these" Eddie smirks,beginning to hit the paddle ball agaisnt he paddle,going faster "hey Stan you see this?"
"Ok can you-" Stan flinches back as the ball gets closer to hitting him in the face "maybe not"
"Maybe not what? Yeah yeah hold on,maybe not what? Maybe not what? Be awesome and have fun and celebrate the magic of the PaDdLe BaLl"
The paddle ball flies out of Eddie's hand,hitting Stan in the face and the ball rolls away
"Wow,oh good going fuck nut you broke his thing"
"I broke it?"
"Yeah you broke it with your face"
"What?" Stan gives him a confused look
"I'm not putting my fucking hand down there" Eddie says before going and occupying himself with the hammock
We all give eachother looks and I try not to laugh at Stan's complete confused and shocked state
Ever since Eddie stood up to his mom,he just says and does whatever he wants now and it's pretty funny,he's so sassy now,but in those moments where it's just us two he's all shy and blushing and I love it
Bill turns on the radio and we all begin to relax and wind down a little
"We need rules though" Mike begins "cause there's no way I'm sitting on this for an hour while he gets to sit on that" Mike says,gesturing to him sitting on a hard wooden log while Eddie swings happily on the hammock
"How about ten minutes each?" I suggest "unless you bitches are to much of babies and want more time" I joke
"No ten minutes is perfect" Stan says and I nod
I look around for something to do and my eyes land on Eddie who's eyes were already on me,he doesn't look away though,giving me a smirk and I blush and look away this time,oh how the tables have turned
"Can you two stop eye fucking" Richie says "even I'm growing uncomfortable"
"Your my brother dick wad of course you'd be uncomfortable"
Richie rolls his eyes and randomly hands me a cow bell he must've found
I furrow my eyebrows and put it in Mikes lap,getting up and heading towards the ladder
"Where are you going?" Ben asks
"For a walk" Eddie's quick to get up and walk over to me making everyone slightly confused,one second he's calling Stan a fuck nut and the next he's all soft and sweet and following me like a puppy
I just climb the ladder and Eddie follows
As we exit the 'clubhouse' I can't help but admire how he looks in the sun,his features always stood out but especially in this moment
"Your staring" Eddie softly says,walking up to me and grabbing me by the waist,I smile and wrap my arms around him,kissing his cheek
We weren't dating,and we haven't kissed since our date which was a little over two weeks ago but we were in a good place,and we weren't afraid to hug or just flirt with eachother
It also made it funnier that it grossed Rich out because he's so dramatic about it,but sometimes I also feel bad because here I was,taking his bestfriend away from him
"You ok?" Eddie asks and I raise my eyebrow
"Hmm?"
"You zoned out" he says and I pull away from him,leaning down to pick up a piece of wood that must've fallen from the door
"Sorry" I simply say and Eddie doesn't say a word,only beginning to walk towards the rock path,waving for me to follow him
Eddie still had his cast of course,and the only thing on it is what I wrote the day I went missing,he doesn't let anyone else write on it even if they ask and it always makes me smile to think about that fact
"You know you're not that tall" I randomly say and Eddie raises his eyebrow at me
"Thanks?" He sarcastically says "Is that a insult"
"No,I mean none of us are tall,except Bill and Bev I guess" I shrug
"I don't know Stan and Mike are getting pretty fucking tall,I think me you,Ben and Rich are gonna be standing in their shadows soon" he says making me laugh
He takes my hands in his and I smile widely,yep,this is heaven and I refuse to believe otherwise
