After finally making it to the quarry,everyone except for me,Eddie and Ben decided to go for a swim
I walk down the large hill and walk around until I find a spot to smoke where I won't be seen
I end up finding a large looking cave,smiling as I pull out a cigarette and smoke it,breathing out in happiness
"Yn?" My eyes widen as I drop the smoke,stepping on it with my foot and picking it up,putting it in my pocket because I hate littering
Eddie pushes away the vines so he can walk into the large cave and he looks around
"Hi?" I say confused,seeing two fanny packs in one of his hands
"Hey,I just came to patch you up"
"Patch me up?" I say confused and he nods,pointing to the gash on my head
I would say no,trust me I would but if I go home with this Klarion will be on a kill spree the next day,plus,I enjoyed Eddie's presence
Even though he can be annoying sometimes
"I'm thinking maybe not here? I can't see shit" he says and I laugh,leaving the cave and he follows as I climb the hill,finding a nice spot on top of the cave
"Wow,perfect" I dust my hands of as I sit down,Eddie nervously sits down infront of me
"Not gonna grab your puffer are you?" I tease and he shakes his head,opening his fanny pack and grabbing out a bunch of shit I had couldn't even pronounce
It starts of with him taking a good look at my gash,then he moves closer,gently pushing my hair away from it
I try to hide my smile as he begins to patch it up,how close he is,the light breathing of him,the light scent of my perfume and bandages..why does he smell like bandages? And why does it smell good?
He bites his lip in concentration and I can't help but admire his face close up,his freckles,his eyes,his-
"Oww!" I yell and his face falls,he quickly takes my face in his hands
"Please,don't move" he begs "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to put that much on" he sighs "just don't move or it'll hurt worse"
I listen to him as he looks into my eyes and suddenly it felt like the pain disappears
He begins to smile,I could tell he enjoyed this just as much as I did
I don't know what the deal is,do I like him? How would I even know if I like him? I've never liked anyone before
It was obvious that everyone thought we liked eachother,or Stan,Beverly and Mike did at least
And if they could see it,why can't we?
How come nothing's happened if I do like him?
Am I..scared to make the first move?
I hadn't even noticed Eddie was taking to me and he was patching up my wound again
"-and I just can't believe that it happened y'know?" He sighs,moving away "finished" he smiles proudly and I touch the wound,that was no longer a wound but a petty good sealed bandage
"Wow,you should become a doctor" I say and he shakes his head
"It was hard for me not to vomit while doing that"
We both stand up,Eddie looks so happy with himself
I don't know how to thank him
So without thinking,I walk up to him and he gives me a confused look until I kiss his cheek
I stand there for a second to re think what I just did before walking away,the sound of Eddie's puffer fading in the distance
-Later-
"What the hell!" Klarion yells out as me and Richie walk into the house,he was in the middle of doing what ever it is he does in the kitchen "what happened to you two!" He says as he walks up to me and Richie,grabbing our faces and observing us
"Some kid was getting beat up,so we helped him" Richie shrugs
"I don't think helping means getting cuts all over yourselves! You look homeless!" He says and I laugh
"Leave us be,we've had a big day" I sigh before heading up the stairs
A few minutes later there's a knock at my door and Richie walks in,sitting on the edge of my bed
"Yes satans spawn?" I ask and he picks up my yo-yo from the ground,beginning to use it "hello? Earth to Richie!"
"What?" He says as he focuses on the Yo-Yo
"What do you want dickhead?"
"I don't know" he hops up,setting the Yo-yo down before suddenly grabbing one of my pillows,throwing it at me and running away
I sigh in defeat and take the pillow of my face,sitting up and rubbing my eyes
Why is he so annoying?
The phone in my room suddenly rings and I raise my eyebrows as I stand up,walking over to the phone
"Richie I swear if-"
"-Yn?"
My breathing hitches as I hear Eddie's voice on the other end of the phone
"Uhh hi?" I say confused
"Sorry if I'm bothering you-"
"-your not" I take a deep breath,closing my bedroom door so Richie couldn't be an ass and listen in "what's up?"
"I don't freak out around you for a bad reason.." he begins
"You called me to tell me that?" I laugh
"I couldn't go to sleep knowing you might be feeling upset about it"
"Well,thanks" I smile "but are you gonna tell me why you freak out around me?"
"It's-" he begins,sighing "something I don't want to tell you yet,because I don't want to freak anyone out" he says and I shrug to myself
"That's fine Kaspbrak,as long as it's not a bad reason then we have no problem"
"Good" he breaths a breathe out of relief
"Good...Is that all?"
"It is"
"Then goodnight Kaspbrak,sleep tight"
"Goodnight better Tozier" he says again and I laugh,hanging up the phone
Fuck me, I dig Eddie Kaspbrak
And I knew that before,but I never wanted to admit it
