S Y N O P S I S

Sunghoon, the notorious troublemaker of their suburban neighborhood, is known for his mischievous antics and his peculiar way of helping others. His favorite target is Jay, his next door neighbor, the aloof and cold-hearted prince of their school, who has been the primary victim of Sunghoon's pranks since childhood. Despite their constant bickering and annoyance, they remain friends.

Rumors are spreading that Sunghoon has an unrequited love for Jay, though they both vehemently deny having any feelings for each other. Jay, however, can't help but notice Sunghoon's odd behavior at times. Sunghoon's interference has led to the breakup of Jay's relationships, and his pranks, along with his apparent suicidal thoughts, have Jay convinced that Sunghoon is unstable.

"You're not running away this time, you despicable cold-blooded asshole!"

"Go away! Leave me alone you blockhead!"

Hey there, fellow fanfic enthusiasts! I'm a weird teenage girl with an epic obsession with K-pop idols. I've been deeply immersed in the wild world of shipping culture for ages now. This fanfic was originally published back in October 2022, but then life happened (hello, exams) and I had to pull it down for a bit. After tweaking it here and there, I've finally re-published it because, let's be honest, I'm way too in love with this AU to ever let it go. Also, this is my very first Jayhoon fanfic-yay for firsts!

When Enhypen debuted, I wasn't really into the whole shipping scene. But when Jay and Sunghoon stepped into I-LAND together, their chemistry was impossible to ignore. Life got busy, though, so I couldn't dive into their dynamic right away. Fast forward to 11th grade, and I started paying more attention to Enhypen. I tried out some of the popular ships, but they just didn't sit right with me. I mean, come on, who wants to ship a freshly 17-year-old with someone who looks like they could be his parent? Hard pass!

So, I kept exploring and eventually circled back to Jayhoon. And why Jayhoon, you ask? My response is simple: why not? Who says two people need to be all touchy-feely to be close? If you really look, you'll see how much they mean to each other. They are the ultimate unit to debut, and every Jayhoonist should be proud.

Jay x Sunghoon... there's something special about these two. I love seeing them bicker, annoy each other, get on each other's nerves, and still end up loving and caring for each other. Hugging, fighting, bleeding, losing... 이젠 지쳤어~ Love you ~ Love yo-
