Valentino cried for once. He's killed many scavs, seen gore, and killed enemies in very personal ways. But to train his aim on Velvet's head is too much, his hand shaking a little. He walked up and put it up against her forehead, and she knew. Strangely, she was calm for a little bit when he did this, but then she started to sob, begging. Begging for him to put down the gun, begging for him to remember their time spent together. Then she tried to yell, before something louder rang out and silenced her. Cyan blood splattered the wall behind Velvet, and her body went limp after shuddering. The revolver was thrown to the ground and Valentino walked away. Dave untied her arms; her corpse was left untouched asides from that though, not even Scarlett seemed to enjoy going near it at all.
After a few hours, they heard the sounds of a ship coming down. They all ran towards the entrance and opened the makeshift gate, staring at the troop transport ship, the ramp open the whole time. On it was a Zealot in yellow and black combat gear and active leg supports, with the turret-shield open on the edge; he was operating the turret and waved the team over. Everyone except Valentino brought the bare essentials, the latter running in. He walked back in with a crate almost the size of him, saying sorry. He strapped it down and sat in a seat, buckling in. The pilot mentioned them lifting off, and they started to go up.. before bullets pinged off the hull of the ship. The Zealot turned the turret and started firing at the group of scavs, causing most of them to get in cover, the shield taking a few hits. Thankfully, they got away into the cold, cold sky, and the zealot picked the shield back up, walking inside and strapping themselves in to a seat, and the ramp closed, and everyone rode in silence.
After hours of riding, they finally stopped at HQ, codenamed Utopia, and they happily got off. Everyone ran inside, and after going through reception (Dave and Scarlett's minions getting a great deal of trouble), [Commander] met them inside, their agent restrictions turned off for now. They were all surprised, except Dave; Commander had the body of a curvy woman, medium length wavy black hair, and standard military wear for agency HRs, their goggles having two glowing, cyan eyes. They started talking in a voice that was much more feminine then what they usually heard, "Hey guys! My god, y'all are really surprised, huh! Where's Velvet?" Everyone except Scarlett found a reason to look away or scoot back. Valentino tapped the crate he carried in, and Commander's eyes looked sad, her smile fading, "Oh, oh my god. Me and- me and Velvet are similar, I know how to fix her, what happened?!" "Hate Virus. Had to shoot her, she was stage 4." Valentino said quietly, covering his face with his gloved hand. Commander looked very worried, and got the crate, picking it up under her arm and speaking, "Just go to the cafeteria, get a meal, and I'll.. try to fix her. I'll probably need some help but, I dunno who." And everyone left, morale both boosted extremely and down in the dumps.
