The Spring Of My Life

I do love you, Can you beleive it?

After taking her leave from the genins, she walked slowly towards her home. For some unknown and troublesome reason, she felt her feet shiver in midst of a hot humid night while few satisfying winds blow here and there.

She stopped shortly in one of the darkened alleys. A heavy and tight feeling in her chest made the ever so stoic Uchiha's eyes moistened. She gripped the nearby worn out wall and covered her mouth to stop herself from giving out a sob. But her eyes betrayed her and a few drops eventually leaked out from the obsidian orbs.

"Fuck", she angrily wiped them as soon as they fell. Finally taking few long deep breaths and controlling her previous haphazard breathing she managed to calm herself down.

The tear stains may alert Naruto and that may lead to mountains of questions which she can't answer.
So, she decided to wash up her face in the public toilets nearby and finally, headed home.

She just don't know, how a warm feeling crept her tightened chest when she saw her home was lightened from inside. A smile unwillingly crept on her lips as she climbed up the stairs. This whole week she was tired of going in an empty home. Few of the days, she didn't even entered her home as the darkened empty house reminded of her days which she don't even want to be resurfaced ever again. She would gladly spend her night up on the trees which would lull her to sleep as winds blew great over there.

Shaking her head to dismiss the unwanted thoughts she opened the door and was greeted with a loud,
" Okaeri Teme".

She looked up to see a very fresh looking, ever so charming, innocently grinning idiot which she loves from the bottom of her heart. She smiled wide and greeted back,

"Tadaima Usuratonkachi".

She removed her shoes and stepped inside, soon enough to be engulfed in a bear hug from her husband.

" I am sorry", he apologized for his absence this whole week.

"Its fine, Dobe. I am glad you are here now. Did I make you wait too long?", she asked him playfully.

He nuzzled his nose on her crook of neck, taking in her ever so re-freshening scent of first rains of the season. A scent of freshly wet grass and earth.

" Umm, actually a bit too long. I came back soon after the debriefing. So, I guess you were enjoying your sweet time with those kids?"

"Hn, that used to be nerve wracking but now, it somehow.....comforts me".

She gets off his hold to sniffled towards the kitchen.
" No way, you made Omurice!", her eyes got wide amazed and in excitement. She can't believe, this Dobe actually made a tough cuisine all by himself. He really is improving slowly and steadily.

She excitedly ran to the dining table and opened the lid of a steel container. The hot sizzling Omurice made her eyes and mouth water.

Naruto chuckled, as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Yeah, after few attempts I actually was able to pull it through. Its all thanks to you for teaching me recipes other than the pancakes".

She chuckled along with him,
" Yes, of-course. I will repeat it again, I don't want my kitchen in horrible state".

He pushed her down on the chair.
"I can smell the sulphur on you. I guess you dipped in the bath house, hm?"

"Yeah, actually I guessed it would be best to throw an appreciation party to genins now and then. That will also motivate them", she smiled and kissed his whiskered cheeks.

" A party huh? Are you already full?"

"Actually, I somehow managed to throw up the dinner after getting out of the Barbe Q. You know already, that my stomach somehow manages to always trouble me with beef".
