"Go away."
"But isn't that why you came? To hang out with me?"
"I told you I was only here for the alcohol," I said as I continued walking back to the kitchen.
"That's utter bullshit."
"There you go again with your egotistical nature!" I turned around to point my finger at him. "I would never want to hang out with you!" What does it take to get those words into his head!? I turned back around and approached the kitchen, pouring myself a glass.
"Ok then, you got your alcohol. Now what?" He asked sitting beside me.
"Well it's a party. I could go dance, I could chat with people... I could run away from you." I shot him daggers, trying to make it seem like I don't want to be near him as obvious as possible. But he just stood in his place giving me an innocent smile. I rolled my eyes, downing the rest of my drink and poured myself another. "I'm gonna go dance." I declared, getting up from my seat. I saw mason stand up shortly after but I pushed him back down. "Without you."
I walked away with my drink in hand to the dance floor. I came to this party to escape from all this stress but having Mason running through my mind 24/7 was preventing me from doing that. I'm starting to think he was purposely bothering me as though he knew about the stress I was going through.
It was probably my brother...
Of course they're talking. I rolled my eyes making more assumptions in my head that only made my blood boil even more. I took a deep breath. My mind began to clear up as I got closer to the music and my hips began to move with the rhythm.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The alcohol really started to kick in a few moments later. I was on the dance floor feeling free and happy. This is exactly what I needed after such a long week of work. I had no care in the world.
I felt some hands snake around my waist, pulling me closer. I embraced his warmth even though I was already boiling from the number of bodies surrounding me and didn't bother to see what he looked like. We both were swaying to the rhythm of the music and I closed my eyes to take in the moment. I felt relaxed, felt like I was having fun.
I opened my eyes again when I felt his arms sliding up and down my hips and his hot breath on my neck. It made me very aware of how intimate this moment felt and I questioned if I felt like hooking up with someone tonight. Being super drunk didn't help with my contemplation on whether it would be worth it the next morning or not.
Maybe I should get another drink...
I was in the middle of the dance floor with bodies surrounding me, but I could just see the kitchen through a little gap between the heads. I continued to stare through the gap in full contemplation, whilst also swaying my hips. But then a familiar man walked into my peripherals, completely blocking my view of the kitchen. He looked really pissed and it was enough for me to get pulled out of my trance. I furrowed my eyebrows and stopped my movements. The guy behind me must've caught on as he tried pulling me back in, but curiosity got the best of me and I gave him a quick glance to apologise before walking away.
