WANGE CITY, SOUTH INDIGO, EMPIRE OF INDIGO, INDIGO.
"Welcome to Wange, for a better experience avoid flying at excessive speed. Thank you for choosing Wange as your destination. We hope you enjoy your stay." The robotic female voice reminded me when I visited Sapphire with Lane.
The ship passes through the force field of the beautiful city of Wange. I don't remember when was the last time I came to Wange, but I don't remember that voice.
Wange is not far from Topaz, it is a bit far from the south, but it's part of the south, one of the few cities in the south that still belongs to us.
"People weren't lying when they said that the cities of the south really resemble those of Rune." Jewel says sticking to the transparent walls, so much so that it seems that she is part of it.
"How can you compare Wange to the trash of Rune?" Nolan says offended.
I'm sorry Nolan but I have to agree with Jewel. Actually our cities are trash in comparison to those in Rune.
Wange is an organized city, with a huge buildings of different strange shapes, but it still looks organized. Huge old buildings that are still standing, and in good condition, bridges connected to buildings, very well preserved ecosystems. Bridges without anything supporting them, bridges that appear and disappear, just like in Rune.
But it doesn't lose its Indigo touch, huge bright panels, signs and screens everywhere, one on top of the other that you can't even tell if there's another 10 behind or if there are windows behind; dirty and potholed streets, graffiti on some walls, magenta, fluorescent blue, fluorescent red, fluorescent pink and fluorescent yellow lights, crowds of people walking, ships parked everywhere, brothels almost everywhere: people on every corner waiting to hack your bracelet, and steal to the last crystal you carry with you.
"You can't say that if you've never seen one." I say and he looks at me confused.
"Hope is right, you can't speak like that about something you haven't see." Says Jewel saving me.
"I'm sorry if I've offended you, Opal." Nolan rolls his eyes and Jewel hits the back of Nolan's seat. "See, this is why I hate being with her." Nolan says looking at me.
"Enough both, not even my students behave like that." I say annoyed by their behavior.
"Give me speed." I say putting my hand on the hologram.
"Autopilot off." Says the computer voice.
"Ship B-45 prepares to descend."I say touching with my other hand the sensor.
"Roads 1-9 are clean, moderate traffic on avenues 5 and 7.—Nolan says while the ship descends moderately on Highway 7.
I slow down and run my hand over the sensor.
"Autopilot activated." Says the ship. "Welcome to Wangen, please use the Vega hall. Highway 7 is free, Wagen partly clear skies, crystal rain expected at kaiirv and waning Kacilian aligned, accompanied with diamond hail from Rune, and a light breeze. Driving Difficulty: Clear." Says the machine as we descend.
The south has the best climate for some, but I prefer to stay with the cold of the east, although many hate it for its extreme temperatures; here too the temperatures are extreme, but only in certain years such as Mairb, Maęk, Pokoiv, Kiliam, Kaiu, Citru, Orson, JoHie, Kobeil, Kaherie, Qax, Xuby, Foiko, Towii, Pöho, Parik, Lorh, Wilpp, Saujr, Riwor, Oppiei, and Cie.
I leap off the ship, landing with a thud that draws the attention of everyone around. Faces turn towards us, eyes wide with a mix of fear, fury, and indifference. The sight of soldiers patrolling a shopping center in the midst of an interworld war is jarring. Shoppers freeze, their expressions a blend of shock and confusion, as if questioning the reality of what they see.
