Jinnai's POV
"Still got your nose buried in that book?" Bon barked as he walked over.
"It's called studying. Maybe if you knew what that was you would have better grades than me," I replied, glancing at him.
"What was that? Are you looking to start a fight?" He asked angrily, taking his hands out of his pockets and curling them into a fist.
"Only with someone strong," I flipped the page.
He grabbed the front of my shirt, lifting me from my seat and making me drop my book. I gave him a blank stare in response to his angry expression. Everyone looked over. Yukio didn't bother tryingto stop it yet, wanting to see where this would actually lead into a fight.
"What is it, Bon?" I asked calmly.
"First you're defending me and now you're making fun of me! Whose side are you on?" He growled.
"My own," I narrowed my eyes at him, "If you want to fight me, then do it. Do I gotta get you riled up first? If that's what you want, then I'll do. Let's see, you should really study more, you're lagging behind. That tough guy act isn't gonna get you to your dream. Hell, at this rate, I'll beat you to it. I guess we all got similar dreams, you're the one who's not gonna-"
Before I could finish my sentence, he punched my face, making me turn and fall on my desk. I quickly got up, punching his gut. Before he could react, I tackled him, punching his face. He punched me too, making me fall on my side and he stood up, lifting me from the ground and kneeing my stomach. I coughed, punching his gut and tripping him. Neither of us could land another hit on each other before Yukio and Rin came over to hold me back while Shima and Konekamaru held Bon back.
"What are you guys doing?!" Yukio pulled me aside. I could almost feel the lecture coming on.
"It's called fighting, get used to it," I scowled.
"Why did you get him riled up like that?"
"He wanted to fight so I got him started. I thought that was obvious. Anyways, I'll go back to my seat and we can forget the whole ordeal ever happened," I turned to walk.
"Jinnai, don't walk away," Yukio started, grabbing my shoulder to turn me around.
"You aren't my mom, Yukio! If I fight, I fight, so get the fuck over it!" I pushed his hand off my shoulder, "It's my life, not yours."
Going back to my seat, Yukio sighed and explained what the class was going to do in the next week. We're doing some kind of camp to become a candidate, to be an exorcist. Once we become one of the candidates, we're going to be subjected to more 'specialized' training. Great, this just what I need. It's not mandatory, so we gotta say whether we're going to participate or not on this form and pick what kind of meister we want to be.
Before this, I didn't realize there were even more than two types of exorcists. I don't know what any of these things do and I'm pretty sure the only one who knows is Bon. He isn't gonna explain this shit to me! Not after that fight we just had!
I heard Konekamaru explaining it to Rin, and I tried to listen, but I couldn't make out the words. I wanted to ask them about it, or someone else about it, but then I'll be seen as stupid. Maybe I could ask Yukio? No, bad idea; they'll see me ask and then mock me. Why am I even concerned? Rin doesn't know any of this and he's not getting mocked! Well, he also isn't doing well in his studies, but I am. There's no way out of this, is there?
Ok, let's try to figure this out on my own. There is a Dragoon, Aria, Doctor, Knight, and Tamer. The only ones that are clear to me of what what they are, is Doctor, Knight, and Tamer. Shrugging, I checked Knight and felt proud that I figured it out myself. But wait, what am I even getting myself into? I looked around the class, not wanting to go to the guys, the teacher, or Izumo and her friend for help. That only leaves one person- Shiemi.
"Shiemi, do you know what these are?" I walked over to her table, sitting next to her. She was startled by me suddenly coming over, but soon smiled.
"Which one do you want to know about?" She leaned over to look at my table.
"Uh, the Dragoon and Aria," I pointed to each one on the paper. Maybe I could be friends with her and Wattan will stop pointing out the fact she is basically my only friend.
——-
The teacher is summoning a demon. It's not Yukio, don't worry. I don't know his name, but he has the black cloak every teacher has, brown hair, an eye patch over his left eye, with bandages on his fingers and arms. He drew the demon circle first and instructed us that you gotta put a few drops of blood and say something, basically anything, to get your familiar out. It sounds pretty weird if you ask me.
The teacher summoned a demon dog with weird bumps and stitches all over it, which amazed everyone. He gave us a paper copy of the magic circle that will help us summon a familiar because we're first-timers. We got the paper at the beginning of class, so all we gotta do is drop some blood on it and chant whatever words come to our minds, then BAM, you got a familiar. Izumo was the first to go and summoned white foxes. Shiemi got a familiar too, but it looks like a little plant troll with its own cute little hat.
I went to try next, pricking my finger and dropping it on the paper, whispering the words to myself so the others wouldn't hear. I had closed my eyes, and put my head up until I would hear something. Nothing; no sound. Opening one eye, I looked at the circle on the ground; no demon. I guess I can't be a Tamer.

We're having the boot camp... in my dorm house...
So far, we've only done a test, though. The girls went to take a bath after the test was done and Rin went to bed, I think. Shima wants to go spy on the girls and tried getting Yukio, Bon and Konekomaru to come with. This was when I learned that Shima, Konekomaru, and Bon are monks.
"Are you going to take a bath with the other girls?" Yukio looked at me.
"Nah, I'm probably just gonna go to my room and hang out by myself. It's kinda hot and my room is cooler than this so yeah," I stood walked to the door.
"Why don't you just take your jacket off?" Konekomaru asked.
"I don't wanna," I shrugged.
"That's stupid. What, you got somethin to hide?" Bon laughed.
I took out a rubber band and flicked it at his forehead, hitting him perfectly and walked out. Those idiots don't need to know anything about me. I went to my room, taking off my jacket and lied down on the floor. On my arms were bandages, reaching from my wrist to my shoulder. They cover up wounds from training on my own. Most of it is scars, and some were burns from trying to do crazy stuff with fire. There were also bandages around my waist, hips, and thighs, but they were easier to cover than the ones on my arms.
I sighed out of boredom, taking out my phone and looking at the messages. There was one from Wattan and one from some unknown number.
Wattan's text: "Hey girl, I won't be back for a while. How you doin? Keep me updated on that boot camp thing, alright?"
I texted back: "I'm doin fine. Tell the others that I'll see them later. How's your new job as a guard there going? So far the boot camp was just a test, but this is the first day. I dunno what's gonna happen next but I promise I'll keep you updated."
I sighed again, looking at the text from the unknown number: "I know your secret. You're worse than Satan's sons. They're only half demon, and you're full demon. You better watch out, you never know when I'm going to come and get you."
Growling,I tossed my phone onto my bed. Who was that? How did they figure out? Did they see my tail? I've made sure to hide the thing. I've never told anyone, and only Wattan, Amaimon and Mephisto know. Was it a teacher here? Did Mephisto spread the word? I made sure to tell him to tell no one else.
