Jinnai's POV
"A ghost... in an amusement park?" I looked at the group with my arms crossed, "You have to be joking."
"No, we aren't," Bon sighed.
"That's it," I put my hands up, "These missions just get more and more stupid."
"You can't just quit," Konekomaru looked at me.
I was about to answer, but Shiemi and Izumo came running over. What got the guys was that Shiemi was finally wearing the school uniform. I sighed at their sudden attraction to her and hopped off Mephisto's statue. We were already at the Amusement Park, but I didn't know the details of what we were doing. This whole place might as well be a shrine for Mephisto (since he's so full of himself) that kids can play on.
If you're wondering about Rin's Familiar named Kuro, or that demon squid, it was lame. Literally, it was not important enough for me to tell you about. Like, Rin got his father's Familiar by basically head-butting it and telling it to get over it's sadness. The Kraken (demon squid thing) 'turned over a new leaf' and helped this little kid's dad return home. Everything was so lame it hurt.
"Now all we gotta wait for is Jinnai to wear one," Shima snickered.
"Only in your dreams, kid," I glanced at him.
Shima sighed, and we listened to Yukio tell us about our mission thing. Miwa (Konekomaru) and Takara (Nemu ((ventriloquist guy)), Yamada (Jacket dude) and Suguro (Bon), Kamiki (Izumo) and Shima, Okumura (Rin) and Moriyama (Shiemi). Who am I gonna be with?
"Oi, Yukio," I got his attention, "Who am I gotta be with? Am I just gonna go by myself?"
"I was kinda expecting Wattan to be here..." He laughed nervously.
"Fine, I'll go by myself. She's not even a student here, anyways," I sighed.
Yukio nodded and apologized for his assumption, asking if I wanted to be with another group. I declined and we all set off. So, apparently, we gotta find some little ghost kid and put it to rest. We have a whole day to do this. Is it that bad? It's literally just a kid that does little pranks like hair pulling and skirt flipping. I don't see the importance of the mission.
Why can't they just do this themselves? That'll be easier and none of us have to waste our time. Maybe they're making us do it for practice. I sighed, looking up at, what I assumed, was the biggest ride here- the rollercoaster. It had the loveliest little phrase on it too; "Go to Hell."
Isn't that just a great thing to let tiny children and adults see? My, my, Mephisto, what a great job you put up there! It's so inspirational! I seriously hope you all can just feel the sarcasm in what I said. I laughed at myself, going over to climb the thing. I always loved heights because when you're up there, the scenery is usually great.
I started climbing but almost fell when I heard my name. I ignored the person, climbing all the way to the top and sat down, now looking for whoever was saying my name. That didn't take me long, because the person leaned over, just a few inches from my face. I blinked, not knowing who it was for a moment, until it clicked.
A smile crept its way onto my face, "Amaimon, it's nice to see you again."
"Jinnai, is that you?" His eyes widened bit.
I swear, he rarely shows emotion on his face. You notice his excitement in his voice most of the time.
I smirked, "The one and only. Why are you here? Did Mephisto convince you to come?"
"He told me about Rin Okumura," He looked pretty bored about the guy.
My shoulders slumped, "Why is everyone so obsessed with him? I hang out with the guy and I think he's a loser."
