Jinnai's POV
"I'm not gonna go see him," I sighed into the phone.
"Oh, come on. He misses you," The voice on the other side cooed.
"Yeah right, Uncle Yasui can go suck it and fuck it. I'm not coming back to see him," I grumbled, using one of Yasui's friend's lines.
"Don't use that line with me! It's so lewd!" The voice shouted.
The voice, my Aunt, started lecturing me on how I should visit family more. It's not like they're my actual family- they're just mom's friends. I only lived with them after I got out of Gehenna, yet I still kinda count them as family. Well, Uncle Yasui is basically the only one I count as family. But, he's married so I have to count this old hag as my aunt.
"Ok, Auntie, I get it, please stop lecturing me," I cut her off in the middle of her lecture, "I'll come over and visit if it gets you to stop talking my ear off. When do you want me to visit? Today? Tomorrow? Any time after? Any specific day? Do I get to bring a friend or two?"
"Come two days from now. Yasui is all excited to see you," Auntie's voice got surprisingly cheery really fast, and then went back to her regular, less cheery voice, "Bring anyone you want. Demon or not, we don't care. But don't show your tails! It will unsettle any other guests that might be wary of you... people."
"Thanks for the discrimination, Auntie. I'll probably bring Wattan and... Maybe a new friend. Hunter gets easily mad so I can't take him along, even if he is Wattan's brother," I sighed, running a hand through my hair.
"Bring whoever. You know the rules and so does that Wattan girl. See you two days from now!" She hung up.
I sighed again, putting my phone away and walked into the class room. They were just sitting around, talking before the class started. I walked over to my normal seat, sitting down before Rin came up.
"Can I go?" He asked, seeming excited.
"Go where?" I plopped my backpack down.
"To your uncle's!" He almost shouted, talking like it was the most obvious thing in the world and I should obviously understand.
"No," I replied quickly.
"Why not? I've always wanted to know about your family," He hung his head.
Wait, he heard my call? How could he do that? I was outside the classroom before I hung up. Was I that loud? Did he listen without me knowing? Man, now he's not gonna let this go. He's gonna pester me until I let him. Wattan, Rin and I in the same house as my family? I don't think that's a good mix. I get mad enough at my family, and this guy has almost the same temper as Hunter's. Well, Hunter is more violent when he's mad...
"So can I?" He asked.
"...Maybe," I replied slowly, wondering if I should agree or not.
He isn't a bad kid, and I know he means well. But why does he want to know about my family? Am I that mysterious? Man, what if the others ask? This isn't gonna be another field trip. I'm not taking the whole class.
"You mean it?" He asked again.
"I'll have to," I sighed.
Rin got all excited, thanking me before going off and talking to himself about how fun it would be. I watched him walk away, almost taking out my book again before deciding against it. Class would start soon, anyways.
~Two days later~
"Rin, get your ass over here!" I shouted from my door way.
