Tony was away at Stark Industries meetings that Pepper had finally convinced him it was time to go to. You then had an opportunity to gather your kids; Morgan, who was now almost eight, Peter, who was five, and Nathan who was two.
"Okay, my darling children," you said as they all sat on the couch. "Father's Day is on Sunday."
"Yay! Daddy!" Peter cheered.
You laughed. "Yes, Peter, we love celebrating Dad. So what do you want to get him or do for him?"
"A dog!" Morgan suggested.
You rolled your eyes. "You want a dog, Mo. I don't think Dad wants one." Morgan crossed her arms over her chest with a pout. "It was a good idea, Mo. Just maybe not for Father's Day."
"We could decorate a suit!" Peter said.
"Like paint one of your Father's suits?"
"Yes!"
"I don't know if he would necessarily like that."
"What about a cake?" Morgan wondered. "We could bake and decorate a cake together."
"Yes!" Peter agreed, causing Nathan to laugh.
"I love it, Morgan," you smiled.

Tony got home late that night, the meetings having gone much longer than he would have liked. He was exhausted and sad that he missed dinner with his family and tucking in his children. Trudging up the stairs, Tony found his way to the master bedroom. His shoulders shagged further when he realized that you weren't in bed. He peeked into the en-suite only to find it dark. His brows furrowed as he left his room in search of his wife.
Tony went back downstairs, searching every room only to find nothing. He was growing more and more concerned. Going back upstairs, he peeked into Morgan's room. Morgan was fast asleep in her bed. A soft smile grew on Tony's lips as he shut the door. Peter's room was next, only for nothing to show of it. Finally, Tony opened Nathan's door to find you asleep on the floor beside Nathan's crib.
Tony smiled as he quietly walked over. He bent down and carefully pushed his arms underneath you. A groan slipped through your lips as he picked you up. Tony gently carried you out of the room and to your bedroom. Laying you down on the bed, your eyes peeked open.
"Tony?" You rasped.
"It's me, sweetheart," Tony responded softly. He leaned down and kissed your forehead. "I'll be right back. I just need to get ready for bed."
You hummed with a nod as you closed your eyes. Tony quickly got ready for bed before joining you. He pulled you into him and kissed your head again.
"You're home late," you mumbled, keeping your eyes closed.
"I'm sorry about that," he replied. "The meetings went longer than I hoped."
"Maybe you shouldn't ignore all the requests for meetings next time."
Tony scoffed playfully. "Well, unfortunately, I'm going to have to attend meetings all day Saturday."
"Oh really?" You tried to sound saddened but with Tony planning to be gone all day, it would give you time to bake and decorate the cake your children wanted.
