"Mama, wake up" Ellis tried to shake Meredith awake
"Ellie.. A bit longer" Meredith whispered as she was exhausted from the night before. Her sisters had come over and had helped her shave her hair even if not much was left
"Uncle Alex said I had to wake you" Ellis smiled
"Hmm.. Where are your siblings?" Meredith quietly asked as she refused to wake up, a scarf wrapped around her bald head, her lashes and eyebrows gone already
"Uncle Alex has made breakfast" Ellis giggled "But he burned the toast" She laughed
"Uncle Alex is still a better cook than me" Meredith softly laughed and kissed her forehead "Now lay down with me" She yawned
"Kay mommy" Ellis giggled and laid down "Don't tell uncle Alex"
"I won't tell him" Meredith muttered before she fell asleep again. Just a little while later she felt someone touching her but refused to open her eyes
"Mer, wake up, please" It was Alex who was also inserting the feed into her feeding tube before hooking her up to a bag of fluids and injecting her medicine "Mer, you really need to wake up now"
"No" Meredith whispered
"Ellie, you need to get ready, Kai and auntie Amelia will be here soon" Alex told the girl that was asleep in her mother's arms
"Okay" Ellis sighed and kissed Meredith's cheek, stuffing her stuffy in her mother's arms "Bye mommy" Ellis kissed her cheek softly
"Hmm.. Bye baby. Love you" Meredith weakly whispered, she was physically unable to even lift a finger
"I'm coming back the second Kai and Amelia are here" Alex frowned and checked her pulse, taking Ellis downstairs
Meredith wanted to turn, her body was sore but she didn't have any motivation or energy so she just kept laying down
"Mer?" Alex pulled her out of her thoughts
"Are they gone yet?" She quietly asked
"Amelia is getting Ellis ready while Kai took Bailey to play some soccer" Alex chuckled
"Way too much energy" Meredith muttered
"How's your energy?" Alex asked her as he tucked her in when she started shivering
"Tired" Meredith quietly whispered
"I'm calling Bailey. I want a second opinion, Mer" He sighed
"Hmm" She weakly groaned, not wanting to go to the hospital
"I'll be back in a minute" He promised her and left the room to call Bailey
"Karev?" He heard Bailey's voice "Is everything okay with Meredith?"
"I don't know. She's very weak.." He sighed "But I don't wanna separate her from her kids, especially since we know she is getting weaker.. We won't be able to keep postponing a hospitalisation, but she'll sign herself out. I know her!" Alex sighed
"Bring her in. I'll think of a solution" Bailey said before hanging up the phone
"Mer, come on. We need to get you ready" Alex tried so shake her awake as he entered her room
"Don't want to" Meredith whispered "Let me sleep"
"No, I'm bringing you to the hospital" Alex announced
"No!" Meredith weakly protested "Have to be home. For the kids" She muttered as she clutched onto her pillow
"We'll arrange that, now come on" He lifted her in his arms as she started sobbing "It will all be okay" He promised
"I want things to go back to before" Meredith whispered "I miss Derek"
"I'm sorry, Mer" Alex lifted her downstairs and helped her into the car, covering her with a blanket
"Alex- Please" Meredith whimpered and begged him, her ineffective fists fighting him
"No, Meredith. You need to listen to me" Alex said sternly and closed her door

Meredith was fighting Bailey on almost everything she tried to do
"Okay Grey, here's the deal. You are gonna behave so I can do my job and meanwhile a VIP room is getting prepared with a second bed for your kids" Bailey said sternly
"W-What?" Meredith frowned
"Karev said he didn't wanna separate you from your kids, but you're in no shape to stay home with three small kids, here you'll be monitored and believe me, enough people are ready to take those kids to the park or whatever" Bailey's voice softened
"But-" Meredith whispered
"It's okay, Mer. You and the kids will be just fine, we will all look out for you" Alex promised her
"But no gowns, no tests in front of my kids and I'm there mother" Meredith immediately set her boundaries
"Of course, sweetie" Bailey brushed her hand over Meredith's head "Now let's get you a sponge bath so we get get you into clean pajamas, your kids will be here in a few hours"
"Thanks Bailey" Meredith grabbed Bailey's hand and squeezed it softly "You too, Alex"
"Of course" He smiled and had to wipe away a tear. He then left the room as Bailey cleaned up Meredith who was too weak to have a quick shower. Everything took so much more time now but today she just didn't have enough energy, meanwhile there was an IV that gave her all kinds of meds and fluids that her body needed
"Your burning on your armpit is scaring badly.. I want someone from plastics to take a better look one of the upcoming days" Bailey frowned and inspected the wound that was slowly healing
"I put cream on it as much as possible" She quietly explained as she felt her eyes slowly closing
"It's okay, we'll take care of it" Bailey put a blanket over Meredith as she was done cleaning her up and changing her "Take some rest" Bailey whispered but it was of no use, Meredith had already fallen asleep again
My exam went okay! Just so so tired and a headache again. Two more exams to go!
