She would get closer to the Cut as she realizes the Stormbird shadows have disappeared. That's good. They won't be a disturbance. Not much longer after she thinks that she realizes that they might be attacking someone. Wait, maybe they'll cause a bigger disturbance? Oh well, not going to worry about that now. She continues, her mind wandering. Every once in a while she'd turn on her Focus, using it to catch things she can't see... which wasn't a lot. One of the times while the Focus was in use, she looked up and noticed it said: "Hostile Machine". The Stormbirds! Aloy prepares herself for an intense battle with the two bird-like machines. Stormbirds are twice the size of Glinthawks, and rather than being ice based, they're lightning based. This isn't going to be easy.

There was no way that Aloy would be able to ground one of the Stormbirds, so she'd have to figure out the best way to take them down from above without being able to override them... Corruption arrows!

The corruption arrows were one of her favorite elementals. They allowed her to "override" the machine for a limited time, which caused them to fight each other. It was hilarious to watch the red and then green-wired machines fight each other and then realize what they'd just done. Aloy would reach for a set of Corruption arrows, then placing three on the war bow. Pulling them back, she concentrates on aiming on the first of the two Stormbirds. Easy now, and... She lets the three arrows go, and the one that does end up hitting it does enough damage to the Stormbird to completely corrupt it. She watches them go at each other, one dive after another. While the other was distracted and pushed to the ground, Aloy pulls out her tearblast arrows to hopefully pull off the lightning gun and the freeze canister off the one. This was able to critically damage the one Stormbird before it flew back up to the sky. The other Stormbird was no longer corrupted, so she switched back to the corruption arrows and did it once more to the same Stormbird. The other one's damaging capabilities had been removed, so there was no point trying to corrupt it. The corrupted knocks the other to the ground, and it's as dead as a dead machine can be. Now to take this other one down...

She switches back again to the tearblast arrows to knock the lightning gun off the remaining Stormbird. That was the one thing that seemed to take the most damage and was the hardest to work around. Dodge-rolling wasn't always the best option either as its range was huge. She just kind of had to resist the lightning strikes the best she could until the component was removed. She stacks two tearblast arrows on the bow and pulls them back, concentrating on the bottom of the bird in the sky. She lets them go, hoping at least one would hit. And much to her luck, they both do, causing the lightning gun to fall right off the bird. Yes!

All that she needed to do now was bring it down for good. She switches from tearblast to hardpoint arrows, waiting for the bird machine to divebomb her. Once it comes down, she rapidly shoots a couple arrows at the machine. The impact from the plethora of arrows causes it to fall to the ground, allowing Aloy to attack it with her spear a few times. Due to the electricity of the spear, however, it helps the Stormbird fly back up in the air. There's not much left to do but continue her rapid-fire shooting of arrows at the machine. It'll either eventually fall again, or it'll just get annoyed and go away. Probably, though, the first option. The latter never, ever, happens. She eventually causes enough damage to the remaining Stormbird that it falls, and wouldn't be able to show its face to the world any longer. She collects what she can off both of the machines and continues on her way. She continues to think about where she would stop and take a break again, and is thinking either Mother's Crown or Daytower. Daytower's further from where she currently is, but also closer to her final destination. She fully sets her mind on Daytower; as much as she'd like to stay within the Sacred Lands for another night, she also doesn't want to. She shows herself as not part of the tribe, and although many address her as 'Aloy of the Nora', she'd much rather be 'Aloy despite the Nora'. This is all due to the fact that she was an outcast from birth, and for 18 years lived like that. She got out of her 'sentence' as an outcast by completing the Proving, and then managed to persuade Jezza and Teersa to mark her a Seeker, much to Lansra's dismay. She's enjoyed her time as a Seeker and tends to spend most time away from the Nora tribe, and only comes back when passing through or when she's there to actually help someone. Nowadays, that's not so often.

She passes through the Hunter's Gathering, waving to Gera and Kendert. She doesn't really stop moving until she gets to Daytower, which was still quite aways from Hunter's Gathering. Obviously, though, it didn't bother her. The climate was similar to that of the Nora tribe as it was right on the edge between the Sacred Lands and Carja territory. As she approaches Daytower, she realizes that it's still daylight and may be able to make it just a little further. She decides to go out a little more, and attempt to make it to Lone Light. She's helped the people at Lone Light before, with the Attack of the Glinthawks from a group of Snapmaw hunters nearby. She was able to have them remove the dead machines from the premises and give them the Snapmaw heart they desired, to which they responded by leaving the area. Everyone at Lone Light was now safe from any more Glinthawks coming in and trying to kill them. By the time she actually got there, it was sundown. Just in time.
