What was a nice little sunny getaway now turned into a a quick turnaround of them on the next flight. Players contacting Spencer and Natalie contacting Liv put them on high alert that the world now knew they were a thing.
All of a sudden, an emergency team meeting was called and all needed to be in attendance.
"Liv, listen don't panic. Tell me the last two months haven't been the greatest time of your life."
" I can't. Because it has. But my dad doesn't care. Who knows what he's about to say in this meeting."
"Listen, he lost his privileges to a say when he kicked you out. As far as I'm concerned, your my concern and mines alone." He rubs her leg on the plane as a tear starts to shed.
"You are way too calm for me. But I'm glad at least one of us are."
"I will always have your back Liv. And I'm glad it's out, I was ready for the world to know you're off the market anyway. I saw some glances you were getting on campus."
"I honestly wasn't paying attention I was in the moment."
"I know I enjoy that about you."
Spencer grabs her hand and. Holds it for the entire trip back to Chicago.
....
"Players, in the conference room now!" Billy yells.
Although this meeting was really about Spencer, the whole team was going to get the same news.
"We've had a great season thus far, and the coaches here are really proud of you however, it has been brought to my attention that there has been a violation of conduct here amongst the team. I am greatly disappointed gentlemen. As you know we do not tolerate that here. All of you are expected to act like professionals. You are no longer just athletes but employees of the National Football League. I am disappointed that I have to have this conversation with this group of men before me. Let's act like we have some sense or you will have to make sense of my next statement. If I hear of anymore conduct issues, we will start to cut players. I suggest you all tighten up. See you all Monday for practice. You are dismissed." Coach Baker says with authority.
"Man what the heck was that about?" Justin whispers. "Coach is buggin I don't know of anybody doing anything unless he's talking about Serge taking towels home from the locker room."
"I'm sure it's not that Jay. Look as long as we keep producing on the field, this should all sweep over. But back to Serge isn't he getting paid like 10 mil a year? He can't buy his own towels?"
"That man is mad cheap bro. His wife sends him paper plates with the foil on top for his meals. I just know all his money is in a savings or in investments."
"I'm gonna hope investments."
Just as Spencer and Justin were about to head out, Billy approached them.
"Hey Justin, can I talk to Spencer for a moment?"
"For sure coach! Aye I'll holla at you later Spence."
"Have a seat Spencer."
Following directions, he sits down in a conference chair two seats down from coach.
"What's going on coach?"
"You're seriously asking that? How about you not abiding by the one rule I have for my team! I saw the pictures and the tik tok of you in LA with Olivia!"
"Sir with all due respect, I care a lot about your daughter and her and I knew each other way before you implemented this rule. I only know a little bit of what happened in between but I am not here to harm her in any way. "
