Arya's POV
"Hey you" looking up I was met with Harry who was walking into my apartment after having taken Ella to day care. It felt oddly normal having Harry walk into my apartment, it was like it was his as well considering the amount of time he and spent here. It was also such a nice relief to have Harry take care of Ella, and not have to worry about getting her up/ready."Hi Harry" I smiled
"What on earth is this woman?! The doctor said absolutely no work!" Harry came over to me, looking over at the laptop on the kitchen counter and the numerous papers/folders I had scattered over.
"Harry it's fine, I'm already behind on work, tour starts so soon and you have promotions for don't worry darling in between. Not to mention Grammy promotions that you're literally missing as we speak"
"Arya you don't need to worry about any of that, there are other people for that. Besides, Jeff knows you were sick so he's got others working on your bits. You need to heal up properly first yeah?" He had now taken a seat next to me
"All I'm doing is typing right now, that's not anything rigorous. Besides, if I can go back to work 3 weeks after giving birth that too by a vacuum having to suck my baby out and rip open my vagina in the process, I can do a little bit of typing with a burst appendix. I'm good, I promise." I chuckled, when I looked over at him he was not smiling but instead was completely serious.
"I'm really sorry you had to go through that." He spoke softly, putting his hand on my thigh.
"Sorry?" I asked
"Having to work after giving birth straight away, if I was there to provide for you you wouldn't have had to go while in such a condition. I know you're independent and of course you should be too, but it's upsetting knowing that the reason you went to work so quickly was not because you wanted to but because you had to, you didn't even get enough time to heal properly."
"Have I ever told you you're the sweetest?" I smiled
"Nope but it's nice to hear" he chuckled
"The only reason why you didn't provide was because I didn't tell you in the first place, you can't apologise to me when you didn't even know Harry." I paused "in fact, I should be apologising"
"Apologising? For what?"
"Not telling you sooner. You missed her birth Harry, and that's on me and only me." I sighed
"Arya how many times have I told you I'm not mad at you for that"
"No I know you're not, and I'm thankful you aren't. But I still feel horrible you know"
"Don't think about that Arya, at least im here for her birthday." He smiled softly at me as his fingers continued to slowly caress my thigh.
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
"Speaking of her birthday, I know you're still healing and all but I was thinking of inviting a couple people over for a little party? Nothing major just you, me, Kian, Mia, my bandmates, Jeff and also my parents they're in town anyways so I could just invite them tomorrow, and you said she wanted to go to the aquarium so we could do that as well?" He asked
Wait a minute. Tomorrow? Fuck. August 17th. Tomorrow is Ella's birthday
"Oh my god Harry it's tomorrow?!"
"Arya-"
"It's tomorrow?!" I dropped my head back against the couch, "oh my god how could I have forgotten?! Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! I can't believe it I'm literally the worst mother in the world oh man I have nothing sorted at all, nothing at all!"
