WARNINGS: talk about body dysphoria, struggling with body image and identity.

REQUEST: Are you able to write Loki helping the reader with gender dysphoria? I feel so feminine, despite being none-binary and transmasc - I just want to feel like a boy and nothing at the same time

PRONOUNS: he/him they/them

NICKNAMES: Dear

***

You woke up before Loki today so you'd decided to get ready for the day.
Once you'd stretched and got out of bed you moved towards your wardrobe.
As you stood in the wardrobe room, you begun to feel overwhelmed - you didn't know what to wear to make you feel right.

Normally, it was quite easy for you to pick your outfits, you just went simple and called it a day - Loki did the same when it came to Midgardian clothes so, as a couple, you two matched nicely.

As you stressed about what to wear you ragged clothes off the hangers, held the up to you, then threw then to the floor - not even noticing the mess you were creating.

After around 20 minutes, tears were threatening to spill and your face was red with frustration.
You stood still in the mirror, just staring at yourself wishing you could shapeshift like Loki could, then you could make yourself look how you imagined.

You wished you didn't feel like this, all alone and hating your own mind.
You wished you weren't ashamed and embarrassed of yourself and how you looked.
You wished this feeling would just go away.

On days where you found it easy to express yourself you loved your body - for the most part - and enjoyed showing who you truly were.
But on days like these, where you felt uncomfortable in your own skin and nothing felt right - you hated being how you were.

With you being so caught up in your own mind, you never noticed Loki walking in to change.

L:" Good morning dear, how are you today?"
Without replying you turned to him, you desperate face told him of your morning filled with struggles.

L:" Is there anything I can do to help today?"
y/n:" I don't know"
With a defeated sigh you finally turned away from the mirror and noticed the mess you'd created
y/n:" I'm sorry, I'll clean all this up"
L:" It's no problem, lets focus on you first. Do you want to tell me what's going on?"

You gave him a slight nod, knowing he would probably understand away.
y/n:" I don't feel right, like I wish I could just chop off all the bits I don't like but then at the same time I don't know what I want to get rid of"
Loki nodded along as you spoke showing he was listening to you.

L:" So that means you don't know how to express yourself today"
y/n:" Yeah. I don't know what to wear nothing feels right"

L:" How about some Asgardian clothes"
You looked at him, slightly confused at the mention of this, not understanding the meaning behind the statement.
Loki continued on, noticing your slight confusion.
L:" We don't have gendered clothing in Asgard, except for our fancy up dress, everything else can be worn by anyone"

y/n:" Really?"
Loki could see the shine enter your eyes.
L:" Yeah! It's so cool right?!"
You agreed so quickly.

Loki showed you some of his clothes and told you to pick any.
Once you found clothes you felt suited you, you felt as though some weight had been lifted.

Not all of it, you still had some thoughts and issues with how you look but for today - you felt like you could survive.

A/N: I feel like I'm not the best author to be writing chapters like this as I don't experience gender dysphoria only body dysphoria.
So please feel free to correct me or give me pointers on how to improve for next time.

I love you all, I'm so sorry this book gets kinda neglected

But HAPPY PRIDE MONTH to all of you in the community.

I hope everyone is doing well (Especially my American readers at this time - if you feel like you need to vent or chat to someone about anything, I'm hear to just listen or talk to you, which ever you want)
