Linke, Kurozawa, and another boy I didn't recognise stepped into my office as three new recruits. "Welcome to the military rookies," I declared emphatically.

Linke and Kurozawa were beaming and looked at me, but the other youngster was depressed and had her head down. I understand why she felt that way; she was so young and small. I escorted those three to their rooms, putting Linke and Kurozawa together and the young girl in a separate room so she could rest. I urged Erin to take care of those two while I consoled the young girl. She entered the room, and as soon as she walked out, I whirled around and grabbed Eren's throat, pushing him against the wall. I said, clenching my teeth,

"What the hell were you thinking bringing a 5-year-old here?! You moron! She's supposed to go where the rest of the citizens are!"

I let go as he began to struggle to breathe, and he collapsed on the floor, gasping for air.

"We... found her... in the... streets," he added, still gasping for air.

As I turned around and walked her into the room, I shot him a foul look and sat down next to her on the bed.

"What's your name?" I asked

She didn't respond immediately away, but her name was Minami, and I began to explain how everything would be fine and that she would stay here until she was ready to join the rest of the group.

"I saw my mother get slaughtered, my father crushed, and my dog devoured," she added, her eyes welling up with sorrow.

She began to cry as I hugged her closely. I consoled her to the best of my ability until she fell asleep. I placed her on the bed and pulled the cover over her.

I carefully stepped out of the room, closing the door behind me. I rushed by Eren and into the training room. I sighed loudly as I shut the door behind me. I strolled over to the closet to put on some more comfortable workout clothing. I removed my shirt and replaced it with a crop top, and the rest is history. I turned around to fetch something as soon as I finished, and there were four heads peering through the door. I was flushed with embarrassment and felt flushed scarlet. They all "walked out," so I put something on top and walked out. Linke, Eren, Kazeya, and Kurozawa were there. Kurozawa was the guy next to me, and I hit him as hard as I could, enraged. Kurozawa was on the floor, acting like a 3-year-old, when they all stopped laughing. They all stared at me with a puzzled expression on their faces.

I yelled, "piss off perverts," and they all bolted.

I was still mortified that they had seen me. I slowly walked back into the room, shut the door, and walked outside to the ledge. The cold breeze, the subtle scent of must surrounded me as I sat on the ledge, my legs dangling over the edge.
