Gage

It was such a relief to finally appoint an Alpha and he immediately took the position to heart. I loved watching him engage with his pack. A natural leader with sting character.
That smell.
It struck me coming from a certain direction.
I noticed Sandra with her back against a wall and arms crossed.
Then I saw her.
She was holding Caleb and he loved it. The smell was so strong I felt a little dizzy. Things were confusing, but made sense at the same time. My wolf was beginning to surface.
She lifted Caleb above her face with her beautiful smile  engaged with him. My wolf couldn't take it.
She is SUPPOSED TO SMILE AT ME!!!
I roared! And growled as I walked towards her. She is mine. MINE! I reached her and pinned her. I couldn't control myself. Her smell was intoxicating. She tried to look around me. NOOOO! She only looks at me. I couldn't stop growling and sniffing. How does she not understand? She belongs to ME! The only wolves exist in this world is her and me! Her and me.
Wait! She isn't a wolf. I was confused. Her scent is of a human. But it isn't real. Having her up against me I smell her REAL scent. It's hidden under a human scent. I can't tell what it is.
"Alpha?" A male voice said behind me and I growled.
"Alpha, you need to let her go." I stood still. "She is innocent." I could only growl in response and then I wrapped my arms around her. She was MINE. My wolf was lingering so I couldn't articulate what my head wanted to say.
"Alpha, I know you are stronger than all of us, but you aren't stronger than all of us combined." The voice was calm trying to reason with me. "And you are scaring her."

Calla

Instead of having me pinned, he now held me in his arms. I pray I don't pee on myself. He was a steal trap. It didn't hurt, but I had no space to move. I felt a tear fall down my cheek. This isn't fun. I want the boring meeting back. Beta Marc started to bargain with him. He just growled. I didn't know how I was going to get out of this alive. Maybe he'll get tired and fall asleep?
All of a sudden, I'm jostled and his arms started to open up. There were about a dozen wolves on him to get him to open up. He growled and roared. I was finally free. He looked at me desperately. Like his heart was aching and not his body trying to get back at me.
"Calla!" Beta Marc called. I looked. "We are going to knock him out, you need to get to the safe room and lock it." I nodded. What I wasn't expecting was the sound that came out of Alpha Gage's mouth. When I looked back at him. It was like every emotion that ever existed rose to his surface, and it brought out every emotion that ever existed, rose to mine.
Then nothing.

Gage

I sat up disoriented. Someone, knocked me out. It took me a few moments to figure out what was going on.
"Beta Marc." I corrected myself. "Alpha Marc" I spoke low and controlled. He was yo my right. "Get the Elders. We have questions that need answers." He didn't move. "I'm in control."
"We want to make sure before the warriors stand down."
"The girl is removed from the room?"
"Yes."
"Dismiss your wolves. Let the pack go to their homes. Let's go to your office to figure out why I just went feral on a human."
"I'm not sure you actually went feral." Sandra muttered under her breath. I'm not sure either. But I was clearly out of control. I stood up. The scent still lingered. But not the way it did when she was here. I could tell the direction she went in and fought the desire to go that way and followed Marc to his office.
It wasn't just me bring followed. I was being escorted. There was eight warriors that flanked me. They weren't necessarily hostile, but they were VERY alerted to every step I took. The more we walked opposite of her, the easier I felt.
When I finally sat down there was a solemness in the room.
"What. Was. That?" Marc asked.
"Your guess is as good as mine."
"Are you that angry we have a human?" He accused me.
"No. I accepted and even made peace with it." I hunched forward and put my head in my hands. "This was completely outside my wheelhouse."
"The elders have been alerted. Bart said he was coming." A couple of the wolves groaned. I higher a laugh. Bart was the most knowledgeable, but he can be a bit eccentric.
"What was going through your head?" Marc asked.
"It's hard to explain. But all my instincts were about being as close to her as possible. Her scent is intoxicating." I shook my head. "Her scent."
They were looking at each other worried. "At first she smells human. But there was something deep in her scent. I don't think she is entirely human, or her scent is masked."
I heard a throat clearing behind me. It was a warrior. I turned. "Excuse me Alpha, but I have a theory."
"Go on..."
"Fen." He stated his name. "My parents. Er well, when my dad first met my mom, he couldn't stop smelling her."
"How is this helping?" Marc asked.
"Well. He found out they were fated mates." Fen stated and my stomach dropped. Marc snickered.
I looked at Marc. "What?"
"I remember when Fen's dad Shane kept following Alice around. She would get so annoyed with him. He still struggle leaving her alone." Marc was smiling. "Tell the prime Alpha how many children your parents have."
"Sixteen." Fen looked sheepish. "I'm only number three. I couldn't wait to finish warrior training so I could move in the pack house"
"So this human and I are fated mates?" I asked.
Fen shrugged. "It's a theory."
