As the full lockdown began in full effect news of destruction across the world was being received. As days passed governments were being dethroned. Many calls for help were sent. The militia answers each call promising coordinates in exchange for information. They were all given the wrong coordinates. The militia began a plan to maintain the city. The faculty met privately to agree on a plan to follow. On the eleventh day, they call for a city gathering at the exact time of the end of the lockdown. Word was spread by the militia. The people were desperate. They were hungry and thirsty as many did not divide the food correctly for 11 days.
Citizens were angry and fearful for their future. Life was never going to be as it once was.
As the Faculty gets set to reveal their plan to the people. The militia began to take posts in front of the houses waiting for the people to come out.
The sirens were heard. Citizens began to come out. 100,000 gathered in the city stadium.
For the first time, the people will learn about their new world.
The Faculty gets escorted by militia to the center of the stadium.
You could hear the mumbling among the crowd as they lay eyes on who seemed to be in charge.
There are five chairs but one is empty.
The man in the first chair Stands up.
The General (Faculty Member)
I am pleased to announce that the end is over.
(The crowd cheered)
I am the General. First in command of the militia.
We are safe people. We made it. This is a new world. There is no more Rich Port. There is no more Saint John.
We will keep you safe. You now live in Paradise. Everything outside this city is oblivion and is 100 percent off-limits to any non-military personnel.
That is the number one rule. No exceptions.
The General sits down.
(The crowd begins shouting)
The second person sitting stands up.
The Priest (Faculty Member)
God has given us a second chance.
(The crowd calms down)
God had brought us a new life. We are chosen. I assure you that every one of you will be taken care of. We have designed areas around the city to ensure each will get the help and supply they need to be happy in this new world.
So pleased let's rejoice in our miracle of life called Paradise.
I am saddened to tell you that The Doctor (Faculty Member) has died from injuries sustained when a bomb hit the capital.
He was the key to making this place virus-free. He made us Paradise and we would not be here if it wasn't because of him.
He had a plan. A new way of maintaining optimal safety. We have this empty chair in honor of our fallen hero.
I declared this day The Doctor's Day. To be celebrated each year.
The third chair is empty. The next person stands up.
The Architect (Faculty Member)
Well, we are going to separate you all by gender and age range. You all will be processed to become a full citizen of Paradise.
We got the health check-up. Work or role assignments. Supply and home distribution. For some, there will be a leadership role distribution by sector.
In total, we will be divided into 11 sectors.
(The crowd gasps in astonishment and fear talking amongst themselves)
The last person stands up.
The Commander (Faculty Member)
Ok, people we are going to start with the health checkup. Please be calm everyone will be back together at the end. This is for your safety.
As the end ended. Paradise was born.
And so the name of our city from that day is Paradise.
