the art teacher was babbling about something i wasn't listening to, as usual.
adam was pretending to listen.
his face rested on his palm.
i stared at the paper below me. it was perfectly empty.
i wanted to scribble all over it and ruin it.
my phone was hidden under the desk, the teacher rambling as she walked around the room.
"art is about life! and passion. art doesn't have meaning unless you give it meaning! hell, i could draw a circle on a paper and somebody would talk about how depressing it was!" the teacher said, waving her hands around. "whatever you feel, put it on the paper."
a new notification appeared on top of my phone.
i opened it instantly, rolling my eyes at the teacher's words.
'did you know that cherry got full-body plastic surgery in mexico?'
i glanced over at adam, who shoved his phone in his pocket and looked back at me.
"what?" adam scoffed.
i rolled my eyes. "you're a bitch."
"first time i've heard that."
"every day i wake up and i hope you get shot."

"because your life already sucks."
"you're ugly."

"you literally said i was pretty the other day."
"and then i said you had a shitty personality. because you do."
