Chapter 5: First day

It was the first day at Beacon, the two Fuanus were sleeping peacefully as one of them woke up from the sunlight touching John's face and woke up while yawning and got ready, Nick was still asleep by the way but thanks to John's little trick if waking him up by thumping his tail up and down on his stomach in order to wake him up but he caught his tail while mistaken it for a teddy bear but when he felt the tiny but jagged dorsal fins he immediately woke up screaming.

John: dude, did you thought my tail was a teddy bear or something?

Nick: I didn't know okay, alright let's go before class starts.

They went downstairs very quickly with ease but they didn't expect their favorite team to cross paths with them very sooner, they went to the same class where professor Port is teaching his fellow students the basics on Grimm and how to handle them on  future missions one day.

Port: Grimm, the horrific creaters of the wild, prowlers of the night, and enemy of humanity and Fuanus alike who would do nothing more than rip you to shreds but with my knowledge and wisdom then you will have a good chance of defeating these vile beasts.

However John started moving his hand trying to mimic professor Port which made a few giggled in delight as Weiss sigh in discuss until her name was called by professor Port himself.

Port: Ms. schnee, you seemed determined to begin this task, would you like to demonstrate?

Weiss: professor Port, I will gladly do it!

She said with such determination and such loyalty to her family name but still she still had a sense of arrogance in her tone which soon cause her to loose her cold and calm state when she gets too far, the boar Grimm approaches the young heiress as it charges with great speed but Weiss dodges the beast but unexpectedly circles back and rams her wich results in losing her sword.

Port: oh weren't expecting that huh ?

She continues to fight the undead Grimm while distracting it but she gets Irritated by Ruby and Nick's sudden encouragement since she finds it annoying to her.

Nick: you can do it Weiss!

Ruby: represent team Rwby, go for the belly!

Weiss: stop annoying me, I know what I'm doing!

They're smiles turned into frowns in an instant as it began to be more rough but she somehow managed to kill it, class was over as everyone headed out but Weiss was still being very difficult to get her act together while Ruby and Nick followed her but John and Yang knew that it won't end well.

Yang: I have a bad feeling about this.

John: I agree.

Ruby: what's wrong with you?

Weiss: what's wrong with me, what's wrong with you, you two have been acting like a bunch of children since you got here and you two had the nerve to distract me!

Nick: we were just trying to root for you.

Ruby: he's right, you are taking this the wrong way!

Weiss: well let me tell you something, I have studied and trained to be a better huntress but you are inexperienced and I think Ozpin made a mistake for letting you guys here !

She storms off as Ruby had the expression of being hurt from such a cold hearted but short tempered girl but Nick was on the verge of tears and he just ran off and climbs back into the dorm while John came up to Ruby to she if she was okay.

John: hey Ruby, are you okay?

Ruby:(sniffs) what if Weiss was right, maby I am a mistake and shouldn't be a team leader.

John: that is not true, you definitely have what it takes to be a great huntress and don't forget that there is someone there who will cheer for you!

Ruby: thanks John.

John: no problem Ruby.

They both looked at each other as their eyes met as John had a noticeable blush on his face and Ruby snapped him out of it.

Ruby: uh why are you looking at me like that?

John: oh yeah sorry, it's just that you have beautiful silver eyes.

Ruby:(blushes) oh thanks.

John: seriously out of all the eyes I've seen, yours are something that caught me by surprise.

They nervously parted ways when both felt like they might have a crush on each other, John made it back to the dorm to see Nick covering his face with a pillow and it shows that he was sobbing since his feelings were hurt badly.

John: Nick are you okay man?

Nick:( sniffs) she just yelled at me man, she feels like I'm a freak to her.

John: ( grabs his shoulders) now you listen to me Nick Randa, you are no freak to me so don't you ever say about that to your self so don't let that stop you from being who you are!

Just he gave something to eat which hopefully he makes him feel better until a knock on the door was heard
Which revealed Weiss with the expression of guilt on her face.

Weiss: is Nick here?

John: ( coldly) yes, why so you can hurt his feelings again?

Weiss: no I just want to talk to him.

He let's her in as she approaches Nick who was hiding from her out of fear and sadness however she knew he was sensitive but that didn't stop her from comforting him.

Weiss: Nick, I know you're trying to hide from so please don't, I'm very sorry for hurting your feelings and the same could be said to Ruby and I gone off the wrong way do please don't hide.

Nick: I didn't want you to see me like this.

Weiss: then don't be ashamed, let make up for the things I said.

He turns around to she was telling the truth which it was indeed true, however he started tearing up again.

Nick: damn it I did it again.

Weiss: let me wipe your tears.

She placed her hands on his face and wipes them away with her thumbs which made him feel better as John watches from the door way and smiled.

John: maby she's not so bad after all.
