Linda: Are you hungry? She looked at Winnie next to her as they were both sitting at the table.Winnie: Very... She laughed.
Linda: Ok... Well, I will prepare some Soup for us all, it should be ready in a couple of Hours.
Michael: Sweet! Michael emerged from standing in the doorway. Shall we go for a walk?
He looked over to Winnie.Winnie: Sure. She smiled.
Michael reached out his hand and escorted Winnie out of her seat to the door.
Linda: Don't be back to late... She smiled.
Michael: We won't Linda, I promise. He smiled back as he closed the door behind him.
Michael and Winnie started walking down the lane as Michael was taking her into the Wildflower fields.
Winnie: So where are you taking me? She smiled.
Michael: You'll see... He smirked as he looked to the side at her and teased.
Winnie looked to the side and smiled back, she stayed silent, loving the peace and quiet between them for a second then she broke it.
Winnie: Are you sure he doesn't hate me? She sighed.
Michael: Who... Paul? He asks as they are slowly walking down the dusty path together, as you can hear their footsteps.
Winnie: Yeah...
Michael: No of course not! He just... he... well... Look...
Michael stopped to turn to Winnie.
Michael: You want the truth?
Winnie: Yes Michael, it's all I need. She turned her head sideways admiring his face as he spoke.
Michael: He's just being over protective of me, a bit like your Mother I suppose... he just wants me to be safe, and not get myself into any kind of trouble that's all. He looked up and smiled at her fragilely.
Winnie: What are you talking about... why would you get yourself into trouble? She looked confused.
Michael: Winnie you know... I know you do...
Winnie: Know what? She pretended she didn't understand to avoid the feelings she had for him, and to ignore the feelings she knew Michael had for her too.
Michael carried on walking and started to change the subject... He didn't want to mention he knew she liked him or that he even liked her, he didn't want to scare her off if it wasn't real. Inside his heart he knew it, she knew it, but they never spoke about it... they just felt.
Michael: Have you ever skipped stones?
Winnie: What's skipping stones?
Michael: You've seriously never skipped stones?
Winnie: No... She laughed. What is it?
Michael: Oh my goodness you haven't lived until you've skipped stones... Comon' down here... He shouted as he ran down the side of the river bank and collected a few stones into his hands.
