I'm glad I met you. (Steve x Eddie)

Ch. 6

I honestly don't know what I'm doing

Steve POV

     "pleaseeee I don't want to go alone!" robin called me for about 20 minutes begging me to go with her to the skating rink "I can't just leave Eddie here alone, what if he has a panic attack or Jason comes? he's already visited the house once and he wasn't asking for sugar!" I whisper yelled into the phone, I didn't want Eddie to know I was worried about him. "just bring him with you!" she hung up on me "wait no-" I sighed and slammed the phone into the wall. "Eddie!" 

     I could hear him skip a few stairs on his way down "yes sweetheart!" damn him. "robin wants to go skating, w-wanna go with?" his eyes go wide and he jumped done the last few steps "yes! I haven't been skating in a while!" the way he got so excited me smile "wait I thought you didn't know how to skate?" I bit my lip, "I don't. but maybe you could teach me?" he was so happy it was almost scary. "of course, I will teach you!"

     he ran back upstairs to get ready "Hey steve can you do my hair?" I looked up from the paper I was reading "well... what do you want to be done?" he peaked his head from around the corner, shirtless once again. "I just want someone else to do something with it." he sat down in between my legs in front of the couch. "he laid his head back and looked up at me "please?" I looked at him with an annoyed mom's face, but then I gave in and started brushing his hair "I'm glad it's cold outside! my hair won't puff up." (A/N: thicc curly hair problems 😩)

     "Can I have a braid?" I looked at him questioning "like a small-ish braid that hangs down in front of my face?" "sure. turn towards me." he turned around and he giggled, I didn't realize why he laughed until he wrapped his arms around my waist. "oh haha, now be still." I used to do braids for El and Max all the time they said it was Lucas and Mike's favorite hairstyle. "how did you learn to braid hair?" I was getting quicker, especially since this was a small braid. "well... you know the girl with powers I talked about? she always wanted me to braid her hair, and then your neighbor, Max, she wanted me to do her pigtail braids a lot." he nodded "alright I'm done" he hugged me tighter before I could get up.

    "y'know steve, I'm glad I met you." he looked up "aw, Eddie I'm glad I met you too." I stood up leaving him crisscrossed on the floor "hold on I need to get ready and ill meet you out here." I left to my bedroom and pulled out a regular pair of bootcut jeans a white tank top, and one of the electric blue button-ups. after I got dressed I walked back out to see Eddie talking to someone at the door. "yeah he'll be out in a minute!" I ran around the corner "hello!" 

Eddie's POV

     I was waiting for steve on the couch when a blue car pulled up. I hid behind the couch waiting for yelling or something along the lines of that. "Eddie! It's Robin!" "and Nancy!" I peaked up from the back of the couch to see that it was actually Nancy and Robin. "oh hey guys!" I opened the door quickly "steve ready?" I looked behind me and didn't see him "yeah, he'll be out in a minute." we waited for a nanosecond before steve came speeding around the corner "hello!" he looked amazing, he had on bootcut jeans that perfectly fit his thighs and hips "take a picture it'll last longer!" Robin nudged me in the ribs "ow" she rubbed my shoulder "aww I'm sowwy did I hurt you?" we all laughed and I held the door open for them as they left.

     I mostly held it open so I could watch steve walk out, he's got the ass of a god. on our way to the skating rink we weren't 5 minutes away from steves house when I saw Jason and his friends leaning against some trees. "oh god!" everyone turned towards me "I just saw Jason, sorry" Robin sighed "I don't know why they just can't leave you alone already." I laughed nervously "I don't either." 

     when we got to the skating rink it was empty, which is weird. even though it's Wednesday there's usually someone in the skating rink, we grabbed our skates, put them on, and then I was the first person to get on the floor. I stumbled at first but I finally caught the hang of it. "woo! go, Eddie!" they were cheering for me, I spun around a few times and then rolled back up to the side. "come on Steve, let me show you how it's done!" I put out my ringed hand for him to grab, and he took it. I yanked him onto the floor and dragged him around with me, I stopped us in the very middle "alright look at me, not your skates." his eyes quickly met mine now when you go forward push off with one and keep the other straight." I skated backward about 2 feet "ill catch you, I promise." he slowly but surely skated towards me, I backed up every time he pushed off "oh this isn't so ha-" right as he started talking he fell forward.

     his head hit my chest and my hands were on his back "see, I've got you." he looked up and he turned into a tomato "w-wow my knight in sh-shining armor." I laughed, and then we just kind of... stared at each other for a while. he had puppy dog eyes, it was like we were in a movie. the spotlight was on us, a really cheezy song playing, holding on to each other like we would lose each other, my hair fell like a curtain beside our heads. his lips were so pink and kissable, I wanted time to stop so we could enjoy this more. robin and nancy were cheering us on, but I had tuned them out ages ago. we got closer and closer, I could feel his hot breath on my lips, "i..." I wanted to say something but I couldn't talk "just... enjoy this" 

     we hadn't kissed yet, just standing together. of course, though, we can't have one good moment together.
