I'm glad I met you. (Steve x Eddie)

Ch. 8

I guess the first chapter was bad 😅 (5 months into living together and 4 months into dating)

Steve POV

     I was alone in the house on my birthday, Eddie said he was going over to Mike's for D&D and he left me alone for the day. I don't think he would have forgotten my, birthday would he? I started doing some laundry, trying to keep my head off of the fact that maybe Eddie forgot my birthday. as I was finishing up I heard the phone ring in the kitchen, maybe someone remembered "hello?" the line was quiet for a second before Robin yelled "HAPPY' BIRTHDAY STEVE! YOUR 21!" I laughed "thank you robin!" she laughed and kept 'woo!!' -ing "your finally able to drink! because you totally haven't done that before!" I laughed into the phone "I'm glad someone remembered. thank you, Robin."

     I think she put her hand over the microphone because I couldn't understand what she said, it was very muffled. "hey can you come over? I want to watch a movie with the birthday boy! also just come straight in, I'm gonna be busy popping popcorn." the line ended before I could give her an answer. it was of course 'yes' i mean, I had nothing to do around here. I ran upstairs and put my usual casual clothes on, nothing special. 

     I grabbed the keys off of the coat rack and jumped into my car, after we were captured by the Russians Robin made an extra key for her house and gave it to me "if I ever go missing if something ever goes wrong if I don't answer the door have this" that's what she said to me. I felt honored to have a key to ROBINS house of all people. I had keys to almost everyone's house. wow, I really am a mother. 

     when I pulled up the lights were off, and I became worried. I walked up to the door and put my ear up to the door and heard whispering and giggling "oh my god." i whispered to myself I unlocked the door but there was no one there "wait... Rob-" everyone jumped out and the light came on. Max, Lucas, Mike, Robin, Dustin, Nancy, and... that was it. did he forget my birthday and lie to me? they all saw my smile fall "Steve what's wrong?" robin looked at me "n-nothing I just thought that... Eddie might be here." she swung around and sighed really loud. "Eddie you were supposed to jump out!" Eddie popped up from around the counter "I didn't want to spill the cake!" he yelled back at her.

     I could feel my eyes sting with tears "aww guys!" Eddie laid the cake on the counter and walked over to hug me "baby don't cry! we love you!" they scrunched up together and hugged me "i-i know but I thought you forgot for a minute! I mean, you left early this morning and said you had D&D with Dustin and then I saw Dustin and didn't see you so I thought maybe you forgot and also lied." Eddie frowned "Steve, I would never forget something so special about you, I... I love you." 

he said it.

HE FINALLY SAID IT!

     "I love you too, Eddie!" I wrapped my arms around his neck "I love you so much." Robin and nancy awwed while the rest of the kids made gagging noises "oh shut up guys!" 

     the rest of the day was amazing, we ate cake, watched movies, played games, and Dustin, Mike, and Eddie taught me how to play D&D, I was something like a level 1... troll? I don't know but it was amazing seeing them happy with what I was doing. "hey steve how are those classes with Dr. Powell going?" nancy sat down beside me "oh... they're going really good actually, I told him that in a year or two I might go to nursing school. as long as everything here stays as normal as normal is around here." she laughed, she looked into the cup she was holding "yeah, Robin talked about going to college, I'm going to Emerson and I told her I could probably get her enrolled there. where do you want to go?"  

     I really hadn't thought about it, "I think I might go to Emerson too, they have a good nursing program, that's where Dr. Powell went and graduated from." she nodded "what about Eddie?" I was taken aback a bit, non-surprisingly eddies band has started getting really big so he might just stick with playing guitar "well... I'll be happy with whatever he does. he might keep playing guitar for the rest of his life while I become a doctor but I think whatever we do well do it together." she smiled "you guys seem really happy." I laughed taking a peek at robin "you and robin seem happy too!" I nudged into her with my elbow. 

     she laughed and slapped my shoulder "shut up Harrington!" her face was strawberry red. "how are you two doing anyway?" she looked down "well... she's been getting better sleep. I am too! it's getting a lot better between us." I nodded "great" 

     we all left Robin's house around 12, except for the kids who left around 10. Eddie was driving, I was too tired to drive even though it was just a 15-minute drive. "thank you again." he looked over at me "huh? oh for driving yeah of course." I smiled and rolled my eyes "no dummy, thank you for remembering my birthday. I remember birthdays where no one even talked to me, no less said happy birthday. you guys changed my life so much, for the better of course. especially you Munson, your one the only people I can say I truly loved." I looked over at him, still curled in a ball. "I can say the same for you, Harrington. I really do love you." steve sat straight up getting ready to get out of the car. "I'm glad I met you, Munson." he smiled and kissed my cheek "im glad I met you, Harrington." 

wow, well I don't really know what to do for this story so I might just go back to making one-shots, so look out for a stranger things/Steddie one-shot book
