*Anelra's p.o.v*

"Will you miss me?" I walked with Ahk around the museum. I wasn't sure what to do other than make small talk.

"Of course, Anelra. You're my best friend. I just..." Ahk sighed.

"What troubles you Ahk?"

"You were dead just last night. We're just now getting all of the secrets out of the way. It's not fair that you have to go." I nodded.

"Yes, it is unfair, but I will return."

"After about a year." Ahk was sadder than I had expected. I wasn't sure why. He had many friends here. It's not like he would be all alone.

"Ahk what else is there? I know you. There's something else." Ahk opened his mouth to speak. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a cloaked figure. I figured it was one of the museum's inhabitants and focused on Ahk. I still heard whoever it was hopping and climbing. Ahk stopped walking in front of a statue of Set, the God of Chaos. I heard bits and pieces of what Ahk was saying.

"I wanted to tell you 4000 years ago- I'm not sure how you'll react-" I heard it but didn't process it. Ahk kept his back to the statue so I was facing it. I heard a voice speaking that wasn't Ahk's. It was barely a whisper so I didn't hear much of what it said, but I did hear one word that made me look at the statue, "fitting." I looked at the statue out of curiousity. All I could see were two scarred hands on the statue's shoulders. I hoped whoever was behind it was careful. If they weren't, it could- the statue moved toward us. Out of instinct, I grabbed Ahk and moved. The statue crashed onto the ground. I expected it to break, but it didn't from what I could see. That's odd."What was that?" I looked around for whoever had been behind the statue. There was no one. I shrugged.

"It must have been one of the exhibits playing. They're gone now. Let's put this back up." I extended my staff and carefully used magic to raise the ancient statue. I examined it more closely once it was up. There wasn't a single crack or chip. That wasn't the only thing about the statue now that I got a better look at its hands. "Where did this come from?" I gently touched a wooden staff in the statue's hands. I was pretty sure they had been relaxed down when we came in. The staff didn't look old either, just worn. It resembled the ones priests walked around with before Pharaoh Merenkahre banned the worship of Set after a war. He blamed the God for it because there hadn't been any tensions between Kemet and the neighboring country that we fought with and both sides said the other had started it at the same hour. Why wasn't it stone like the statue? I was almost certain it hadn't been there before the fall. Had I missed it? I looked around at the other statues and figures of the room. None of them had a wooden staff if they had one at all. I looked at Ahk. He looked just as confused. The eyes of Set began to glow. I moved to stand in front of Ahk. It ended up being the other way around. Ahk stood in front of me. I started to say something about how I was supposed to protect him but stopped when I heard voices from all around begin to chant.

"Not the right king. Not the right king. Not the right king." It got louder as more figures joined in. They began to surrond us. The statue of Set rolled his shoulders and stepped down the turned to us. He twirled his staff around him. Gods, they're all show offs.

"I heard that, Anelra." I heard Isis Ma'at speak in my head.

"Forgive me. In my defense, I did say Gods, not Goddesses." I heard her laugh a little. Wait, when did she get into my head???

"I've always been here in case you needed me," Ma'at said. I smiled internally. Ma'at had always been somewhat of a mother figure because she was always looking out for me. It was comforting to know she was always with me. I returned to reality when the statue of Set spoke.
