Asgard a golden fairytale in children's dreams, fiction to some reality to few. Gods and Goddesses rule and battle throughout the centuries, traitors and mysteries manipulated into their history. The nine realms linked closely through forgotten history, wars, love and greed, either it's been covered up or details lost through the depths of time.

And at the center is the ancient king Odin, god of war and his two predecessors Thor the god of thunder and his younger brother the god of mischief Loki. However they aren't Odin's only airs, nor is Thor his first born, see the thing about living for so many years means more and more details are simply wiped from all of history.

It can't come to anybody's surprise why so many traitors and wars have started and ended over ancient lies and facts. Nor should the two princes be so shocked to know that part of their lineage was hidden for so long, perhaps never to be told, if not for this one surprise.

"Father I thought you weren't retiring for another decade or so, what is with this sudden meeting, " a tall blonde paced round one side of a large gold and silver encrypted table, resting his forearms on the back of an equally regal chair.

"And I thought me and brother were yet to prove to you which one should be taking the throne," a raven head spoke calmly through his brothers rash movements, leaning back into the cushioned chair clasping his hands in front.

"You boys are almost ready to become men then in turn leader of all the nine realms, and with that comes responsibility. You see as king you will be expected to fulfill many duties; a warrior, a brave leader, a father providing heirs for the next generation and along with understanding and adapting quickly to anything that may come your way, " the King spoke with an authoritative tone, his eyes resting on the door they had just come through.

"Father what are you getting at," the impatient older son questions, but soon follows his father's gaze to the same door.

All three watch as the Queen mother walks in, dismissing guards as they all file out closing the booming doors behind. Eyes watch as she walks in but not alone, a small baby rested peacefully in her arms, wrapped in delicate white asgardian cloth embroidered with the royal golden crest.

"Don't tell me we need to take babysitting lessons in order to become king, what do you think are hundreds of staff are for," the god of thunder raised his voice, not exactly what he thought he'd been dragged in here for, whilst his younger brother rolled his eyes gazing off, completely disinterested.

"You see my sons, I've lied to you. In fact I have lied to the entire nine realms," Odin began, eyeing his two children carefully, "well this is of to a great start," the younger one quipped.

"You two are not my only children, I had a daughter before you were born. Back when I was younger and Asgard was a much more ambitious and a dangerous place, but you see she grew hungry for more and with that grew a great evil. So in order to protect you my sons and the whole of Asgard I locked her away."

Odin spoke more calmly, a creese of regret upon his forehead showed the pair this was more than just a tall tale.

"However it may seem that my beloved daughter escaped, I will not disclose of her ambitions but for some reason it involved a child. I however cannot allow a child to be raised with the same malicious morals, perhaps even bearing a stronger power that I nor you two could control," both princes now looked to their parents in confusion then to the young baby wrapped so gently in their mother's arms.

Odin took a deep breath before continuing, "therefore we will raise the child here with us, seeing as you are the uncles and one day you must raise children of your own look at this as practice."

For the first time the pair were stunned in silence, not a single word, smirk or look came from them. Both consumed in their thoughts, a new responsibility, more lies, wanting to know the full story.

"What exactly do you plan on telling the entire universe, presuming you want to keep this psycho daughter another of your endless secrets," Loki was the first to speak, challenging his father.

"That my son is where you come in, see only the people in this room shall know of this, everyone else will know her as your daughter. "

The young mischievous prince was beyond furious, how come this burden was placed on him not his brother. Was this just another ploy to get him further away from the throne so his beloved perfect brother could take it. And how come he didn't even get a say and what else is his father hiding from him.

"That is completely absurd, absolutely not. I am not being responsible for a child nor shall I have this burden imposed upon me, that's your mistake of a child your problem not mine, " he lent back in his seat, not eyeing his mother but his father.

"Loki do not speak so unkindly about your niece, this is the safest thing for her. If it makes you feel better she shall be raises as she is, being your niece and using your name for simply as a formality, it can be a palace secret if it bothers you so much." Frigga concluded, knowing this was best for her grandchild also for her son, it would be good to give both of them something to love and fight.

"And what do you think of this Thor."

The blonde pondered for a moment rubbing his hand over the small of his beard, "I think that there is nothing else we could do," he spoke as he walked over to the small baby, "it will be safer here and a much better place for him to grow up."

"Her, it's a girl," Frigga spoke softly gently caressing her soft forehead. "Great and it's a girl can it get more worse," Loki slammed his head into his hands.

"You will both raise her equally and learn to love and treasure her as if she were your own daughter, I suspect she may bare powers so even more reason for her to stay here," Odin spoke getting ready to leave.

"Anything else you want to know?" Frigga asked, placing a hand on her youngest son's shoulder, "is there a name?"

"Sons this is Elena, who will be known as Princess Elena Lokisdottir, for the time being at least."

Almost as soon as she finished her last name the young baby began to cry, leaving Loki groaning in his hands and Thor sighing behind his mother.

And to think, they thought they were coming in to get another lecure of so called 'Asgardian  history'.
