Deep lilac petals slowly open from it's green nest, fast forwarding spring to summer. Bright yellow pollen reveals itself as the sun rising on the horizon. The delicate flower blooms, mirroring the vivid glare from the star above.
A young girl kneeled, her palms emitting a soft, brown, emerald glow as they cupped the growing head, her eyes a rich brown in a swirling green haze, filled with concentration.
"Your getting better, soon you'll be raising a whole forest," a voice startled her.
The vibrate purple glow slowly dissipated, and the petals shriveled up back to its original form -a small green bud on a wobbly steam. The girl sighed either disappointed in herself or annoyed from being interrupted.
"No I won't, I can't even get this stupid flower to stay open," she scowled as she rolled her eyes, leaning back and aggressively folding her arms.
"Yes you can," he reached down to ruffle her soft, light brown locks, "you can when I'm here, go on try again." He spoke calmly as he sat by her, looking up to her father figure she huffed before regaining her stance, gently cupping the fragile steam.
A soft brown glow reciprocated to a subtle purple glimmer as the petals stretched for the 15th time this afternoon, the whole plant gaining more life. "Now keep going until you feel a balance between it breaking or letting go," he guided his child, watching carefully as he slightly helped her reach the equilibrium.
Hesitantly, the girl removed her hands the strong brown glow in her hands and eyes slowly left, unlike the vibrant lilac that remained on the flower in front, "see," he nudged her side, a grin crept on her face.
"Alright enough practice you know what grandmother says,"
"If you over do it you will underperform it,"
"That's the one," as he stood he scooped up the young child resting her on his hip while walking, "now you have to try your new dress on for Uncle Thor's ceremony."
"But that's boringg, can't we do magic tricks this afternoon Uncle Loki," she pleaded, while playing with a few strands of his raven hair.
"No Elena, what did I tell you, these next few days are going to be pretty boring. But good news for you, no tutoring throughout the celebrations," he bopped a finger on her nose before putting her down, holding her small hand in his as they navigated their way round the long twisted corridors of the golden maze.
"Are you going to do one of your funny jokes again, the ones that make Uncle Thor mad," Elena smiled as she swung round holding onto her uncles hand.
"Perhaps, but you have to keep it our little secret," "I always do."
The grand golden doors opened and closed behind, as guards stood by and maids hurried round, "it's this one Prince Loki, the Queen mother picked it out specifically," a young nervous maid carried a well made dress on a small golden hanger.
