"yeonjun you're absolutely disgusting!?" soobin exclaimed, while yeonjun clutched his stomach in laughter.
"it's just ice cream!" yeonjun cried out in laughter, the look on soobin's face when yeonjun had told the male he liked mint chocolate ice cream sent him into a fit of laughter.
"yeah! that taste like toothpaste?? who the HELL decides to eat that voluntarily?! just go suck from your toothpaste container!" soobin explained, watching as the blonde haired boy had literal tears in his eyes.
the two were sitting at a bench, just randomly talking about random things. after yeonjun had calmed down, he took a look at soobin.
the two locked eyes, "do you have any siblings?" soobin asked, trying to get to know the blonde more. soobin noticed how yeonjun's eyes went sad, fallen onto his fingers.
watching as he twisted the ring that laid on his middle finger. "i have a brother. choi beomgyu." yeonjun said, soobin felt his mouth go dry at the sudden name that rolled off yeonjun's tongue, "b-beomgyu?" soobin stuttered out, eyes avoiding yeonjun's.
"yeah, hes amazing. or was amazing...he was murdered years ago...the police had no leads. so they closed his case, i've been trying my hardest to solve it and i think i'm getting close soobin! like really, i just want to bring peace to him...after all he deserves it." yeonjun said, soft tears brimming his eyes.
soobin smiled, mouth still dry. "i'm sure you'll get it jjunie, that's what you're going to school for right? law?" soobin asked, trying to take the conversation away from beomgyu.
"yeah, i just wanted to be able to find out who did that to my little brother. he didn't deserve that." yeonjun whispered, fidgeting with the rings on his finger.
soobin smiled, letting his hand rest on yeonjun's thigh. "i believe in you." soobin responded, "i'm sorry for crying suddenly...that was incredibly rude of me." yeonjun apologized, quickly wiping the tears off his eyes.
"oh no, i completely understand yeonjun. don't worry love, you have every right to cry." soobin said in a loving tone, his face darkening a little bit.
yeonjun checked his watch, "fuck, im late. i'm so sorry soobin, i actually had a study session with my friends. i'm so sorry, are you free next week?" yeonjun asked, as he scrambled to his feet. leaving soobin shocked, "uhm, i don't know but most likely?" soobin said, "okay! i'll take you out as an apology. i'm so sorry, i completely forgot i had this." yeonjun stated
"no need to apologize, go ahead and go." soobin said, shooting yeonjun his killer smile. dimples on display. "i'll text you?" yeonjun said, soobin nodded.
"goodbye, i had a great time.." yeonjun softly said, "so did i. now get going!" he said, causing yeonjun to chuckle.
he watched as yeonjun ran away, soobin's soft demeanor slowly fading.
memories going back to the name, choi beomgyu. anger settling in his bones.
his eyes darkening as he stood up, that urge he once lost coming back once again.
a low chuckle left his soft lips, it seemed like soobin wasn't going to get any sleep tonight.
