yeonjun woke up to the feeling of nothingness; a frown placing upon his cheeks as he looked around for soobin, but realizing he wasn't anywhere in the house.
"soobin?" he called out quietly, anxiety taking over his body as he wondered where his boyfriend could be.
he stood up and walked to the kitchen, a small note laid on the counter. went to the store, be back. love soobin.
yeonjun smiled, he knew which store soobin went to. he always went to the same one every single time. yeonjun slipped on one of soobin's jackets, and his worn out converses.
he figured he'd surprise the boy by going to the store with him. yeonjun stepped out of the house; the faint winds caressed his body lightly.
the only sound being heard was his feet touching the sidewalk, and the light buzz from the bugs that were circling the light lamp.
yeonjun let out a satisfying sigh, he adored the nighttime. he enjoyed watching the stars and the moon circulate above him; and genuinely he loved the peaceful setting that came with the night.
however the last few years; no one was able to get peace at night due to the infamous bin. yeonjun furrowed his eyebrows as he thought about the serial killer; he felt like he was so close to closing the case. he was just missing a few things that would point him into the right direction.
he just wanted to give beomgyu a final resting; he wanted to be able to make his parents proud of the things that the law wasn't able to figure out.
yeonjun looked back up, stopping in his tracks as he listened to his surroundings. faint footsteps playing in the background; he dismissed the thought and continued walking.
the store was only a few steps before him, which he stepped into. the bright light flooded his eyes; taking him by surprise.
"hey yeonjun!" taehyun spoke as his eyes widened at the boy who walked in. "tae! have you seen soobin?" he asked, scanning the empty store.
taehyun furrowed his eyebrows, "no, not since the time y'all came together." he said, recalling the last few customers. but taehyun knew if soobin came in, he wouldn't be able to miss him due to his bright purple hair.
"oh, well i guess i'm going to go back to his house. maybe he went there." yeonjun spoke, the two bid their goodbyes and yeonjun stepped back into the dark abyss of the midnight sky.
as soon as he stepped out, the hairs on his neck stood up. sending shivers down his body, he felt as though something was wrong.
yeonjun let out a soft chuckle, "it's okay. you're okay, you're just going crazy." he mumbled to himself, he continued walking.
a faint scream could be heard, earning yeonjun's attention. his head snapped to the side, a dark alleyway. the shadow of two people stood before him.
curiosity got the best of him, and he tip toed forward.
"oh my god." he whispered as he saw the knife plunge into the older man's chest.
the killer obviously heard the voice, and snapped his head back. causing yeonjun to double back, "s-soobin...?" he mumbled, tears welling up in his eyes.
soobin stopped in his tracks as he saw the familiar blonde boy; "yeonjun."
soobin ran forward to the male, "i can explain." he whispered, tears brimming his eyes as he saw the look on yeonjun's face.
"n-no. g-get away from me. i-i'm going to the police." he mumbled, stepping back from the boy.
soobin's soft features turned into a dark one; "i cant let you do that." he grumbled, before everything went dark for yeonjun.
