soobin nervously scratched at his thighs as he waited in the cafe for yeonjun and his parents. after the fair; and after they had calmed down from the situation yeonjun said yes to being soobin's boyfriend.
which led them to the situation of soobin meeting his parents, his throat was hoarse and he had ordered his 4th cup of coffee. not getting a lot of sleep from the previous nightmare he had last night, and meeting with yeonjun's parents; who just so happened to be beomgyu's parents as well made the knots in his stomach swirl.
he took a sip out of his coffee, and slid his glasses up with his pale fingers. anxiety creeping across his chest. he had never been this nervous...but it was something about it being beomgyu's parents.
"hey soobin." yeonjun spoke softly, walking up with two different people who soobin assumed were his parents. soobin stood up, and straightened out his slacks. "hey yeonjun, mrs. and mr. choi it's a pleasure to meet you guys." soobin spoke, shaking their hands.
the four of them sat down, and ordered their drinks. "so, soobin. yeonjun tells me you aren't in school?" mr. choi asked, furrowed eyebrows almost touching. causing soobin's nerves to swirl.
"n-no sir...i'm an author...i write for a living." which wasn't a lie, soobin had found himself writing suspense stories to help relieve stress.
"well, i'm glad you're doing something to enjoy yourself." mrs.choi said, a soft look on her cheeks causing soobin to calm down. "son, let's cut straight to the point. if you hurt my son, i will no-"
"dad!" yeonjun cut him off, slightly embarrassed at the sudden conflict. "i won't hurt your son, i promise. i plan to take extra care of him. and if i ever do anything that causes you distress, please express that with me. i wouldn't want to do anything that would disturb you two." soobin responded, setting his hand on yeonjun's. grasping it.
mr. chois eyes widened, a grin showing up on his cheeks. "it's great to meet you son." he said, shaking hands with soobin.
"it's a pleasure.." soobin spoke, the stress leaving his body.
( time skip )
after a few hours of talking the four went to bid their goodbyes, before yeonjun's mother stopped in her tracks."you remind me a lot of that boy beomgyu used to hang out with all the time." his mother spoke, causing soobin to turn a pale white.
"w-what?" soobin asked.
"mom!?" yeonjun exclaimed.
"that boy that was always around! had the biggest crush on our beomie, but poor beomgyu didn't feel the same way..." his mother said sadly, tears brimming her eyelashes.
"i'm sorry, you must think i'm a crazy old woman." she explained, wiping her eyes to get rid of the tears.
"it's okay mrs. choi, i completely understand."
"i think it's time we go home.." yeonjun's father spoke, "it was a pleasure meeting you soobin. i hope we can see more of you." his father said.
"i feel the same way.."
they bid their goodbyes, and was left with soobin and yeonjun.
"hey soobin?" yeonjun asked as he intertwined their hands together. "yes my love?" soobin responded, kissing the boys temple.
"can i stay over? taehyun, my roommate, is having his boyfriend hueningkai over. and i don't really want to third wheel tonight."
"you shouldn't have to ask love, of course you can."
