Meredith decided to take her time walking up the stairs to Katie. She was definitely not in a hurry. She sees nurses rushing into the room and starts to run. Honey had already paged Dr. Bailey and Dr. Shepherd but she made it to the room first.
"What going on?" Honey asked as soon as she made it to the room.
"She's having multiple grand mal seizures, now how do you want to proceed? Dr.McKellen? She's got Diazepam, 2mg Diazepam, I just gave her a second ago," The nurse said.
Honey could see that Meredith was panicking, "Okay, she's full on Prazepam?" Honey said jumping into action.
"She's had 4mg."
"Did you page Dr. Bailey and Dr. Shepherd?" Meredith asked finally saying something.
"I paged them as soon as I got the 911," Honey said before quickly getting into action.
"The Prazepam's not working."
"Phenobarbital, load her with Phenobarbital," Honey said.
"Pheno's in."
"No change."
"You paged Dr. Shepherd?" Meredith asked.
"I just told you." The nurse said.
"Well, page him again! Stat."
"Meredith they paged him and I paged them, we are her doctors right now so act like it!" Honey yelled at her shocking the nurses around her.
"What do you want us to do?" The nurse asked Honey just as her heart stopped.
"Heart's stopped!"
"Code blue, code blue! Code blue, code blue!" The nurse yelled as they pulled out the defibrillators Honey quickly took them.
"Charge pulse of two hundred," Honey yelled.
"Charged. Clear." Honey defibs her.
"Still defib. Nothing."
"Charging. 19 seconds."
"Charge to 300," Honey told them.
"300. Anything? 27 seconds."
"Charge to 360. Still nothing Come on, Katie." Honey said to herself.
"49 seconds."
"At 60 seconds you're supposed to admit her."
"Charge again!" Honey says but the nurse doesn't.
"Charge again." The nurse did and they could see Katie's BP register.
"Anything?" Meredith asked.
"I see sinus rhythm." The nurse says causing Honey to let out a sigh of relief as she handed nurse Tyler the paddles.
"Blood pressure's coming up."
"All right now. Pressure's returning. Grid's coming back great job Dr. McKellen," the nurse says just as Shepherd runs in.
