I wake up to the sound of my phone notifying me that I've received a text.
Michael: "good morning my love <3 Tim will be picking you up in about 30 minutes. See you soon!"
A smile is plastered onto my face. I get up trying my best to not wake up Lily and I make my way to the bathroom for a quick shower. I get dressed and I start making my way towards the library. I see Tim waiting for me.
"Good morning Erika" he said
"Good morning"
Tim helps me get in the black Tahoe and we drive away to the hotel to meet up with the guys before they leave. It breaks my heart knowing that they're leaving to go on their tour and more when I think about not being able to see Michael because of that. We pass the front entrance and there's no sign of any fans like there were yesterday.
I go in the elevator and push the button that will take me to the 6th floor. I approach the door and I gently knock.
"Erika!" Ashton says when he opens the door.
"Hi Ashton, how are you?" I ask
"I'm good. A bit tired that's all"
The rest of the guys make their way to the room and Michael stands next to me wrapping his right arm around my waist and giving me a kiss on my left cheek.
"So you guys are leaving?" I say with a sigh
"Yeah, our flight leaves in 3 hours" says Calum
"We were planning on heading out for breakfast first though" says Luke
"Oh, okay. Where to?" I ask
"The Waffle House" Luke says excitedly
The five of us walk towards the elevator and head down to the parking lot where the two very familiar black Tahoe's are. Luke, Calum, and Ashton take one car and Michael and I ride in the other one.
We ride in silence for a while until Michael decides the say the first word.
"I don't want you to be sad" he says
"I just don't want to be away from you for a long time" I say not looking at him but out the window instead.
"It's not gonna be a long time. I'll be texting you and calling you and I promise to FaceTime you before and after a show and before you go to bed."
I turn around and give him a uneasy smile.
Michael stretches his left arm and places it on my right thigh, squeezing it a bit, letting me know that everything is going to be alright.
We arrive to The Waffle House and we hop out of the car. After arguing with Ashton that we can't pick a booth because we don't fit, we decide to sit in a big rectangular table. Everyone ordered about the same thing and we all start chatting while we wait for our food to show up. The guys talk about how they're planning their next album already and that they're so excited for the following shows. Our food arrives and we all start eating. Calum takes out his phone and takes a picture of his waffles before he digs in.
When we're all done we walk to the cars and start making our way to the airport. Michael holds my hand all the way there.
I look out the window and I see tons of fans waiting in the inside and the outside for the guys. I notice that Tim drives through a gate entrance that has a sigh that says "Caution Do Not Enter".
The car comes to a stop and Michael opens his door to get off. I get off as well and follow him. We go through a door and down a hallway. We stop for a bit and I see that we're next to where you register your flight ticket. A lady walks up to us and hands the guys their tickets.
"You're all registered, now you can just go up the escalator and go through security and walk down to your gate" she says very friendly
I gently squeeze Michael's hand which I haven't let go off since we're gotten to the airport.
They all say thank you to the young lady and I give her a friendly smile. We walk out a door and all of a sudden we're all exposed to the tons of girls that have been waiting for who know how long for the guys. I'm not sure what to do and I'm not sure until when I'll have to let go of Michael. We go up the escalator and we stop in front of where the line starts to go through security. There are still fans around us and I'm on the edge of tears.
All of a sudden Calum says, "show her now!"
I'm a bit confused and I look to Michael
"Show me what?" I ask
Michael takes out a plane ticket from his jean jacket.
The girls around us gasp while others aw.
"I wanted to give you a surprise. Erika will you come with me and the guys on our tour?" Michael asks with a smile
I'm in shocked and lost with words
"Oh Michael that would be nice...but..."
Michael's eyes widen
"I can't just leave like this. I mean I don't have any of my things. I haven't even told my parents about you yet. Besides I'm starting college soon and I'm not willing to leave all of that right at this moment. I'm sorry but...I can't" I say truthfully.
The fans start booing! Some start saying mean things towards me and others tell Michael to dump me.
I'm still waiting for the guys and more specially Michael to say something.
"I understand, and I agree with you saying that you can't just leave all of a sudden" Ashton says while walking to stand next to me.
Calum and Luke nod their heads in agreement
"I'm sorry, I thought this would be a good idea. And since you were so devastated that we were gonna be apart from each other I really thought you were willing to travel with me" Michael says with a sad yet confused look
"I am devastated that we're gonna be apart, but I didn't know that you were going to buy me a ticket to travel with you. I worked really hard to get to where I am in my near college future and I can't just walk out on that. I can't let go of all the hard work I put in on my applications and essays and scholarships and stuff. It's not that easy. Now if you want to dump me like the girls around us are telling you to do...do it. But I just can't leave right now. Again I'm sorry." I tell him
Michael rips the ticket and gives me a hug and in front of everyone gives me a kiss. I feel the special spark going through my body.
We break away and Michael kisses my forehead.
"I'll miss you and I hope we can see each other very very soon" I tell him
"And of course I'm gonna miss you guys too!" I tell the rest of the guys while I pull them for a group hug.
We say our final goodbyes and I watch as the guys walk through security. I blow Michael a kiss and I go down the escalator. Some of the fans are saying rude things to me but I ignore them, I just listen to the girls that say sweet things and I thank them for being nice.
I see Tim outside and I walk up to him. I give him a smile and he knows I'm about to shed big tears. He hugs me and I start sobbing.
"It's gonna be okay, don't worry" he says
I nod and wipe my tears and I hop in the car so Tim can take me home.
While we drive through the highway I look up and see a plane flying up and I can't help but shed another tear.
