Episode 4: In Blackest Night Part I

GL and Izuku were in their casual clothes walking down the street in an American city which was the first time Izuku had ever visited a city in America.

The young trainee asks him. "Mr Lantern Sir. Didn't Batman say it was your shift to train me, are we patrolling for any threats."

GL tells the boy. "First off kid, don't call me GL when we're in casual it breaks the whole secret identity, just call me John. Second we're not patrolling, I thought I should introduce around the country and the place I could introduce to you first was my hometown."

"Yes Mr Lan-I mean...mr Stewart" Izuku says as he had to correct himself.

Stewart chuckles. "Don't sweat it kid."

The two were about to pass a store, Until suddenly John pulled Izuku away from the door.

John and Izuku took a quick look inside to see the cashier being held at gun point by a crook who was telling to hand over all the money he has.

When he took all the money he ran out of the store, not even noticing the two heroes, hopping into his car and speeding away before any cops show up.

John uses his ring to stop the car's tires before they got too far away, the crook kept slamming on the gas pedal with full strength.

The emerald knight then lifted the car into the air, slamming it into the ground constantly, stopping the crook from trying to get out.

The crook then fell out but was then lifted into the air again, where the cashier came out of the store to see all the commotion, he sees what is happening to the crook and uses his apron to catch all the money and that was falling out of him, from John who was shaking him around until he dropped everything he stole.

GL dropped him when he was empty and walks away with Izuku, who was amazed by Stewart's act.

Izuku then asks him. "I heard from Flash that there your not the only lantern in the galaxy?"

GL answered him. "Yeah far from it, a long time ago beings known as The Guardians of the Universe born at the beginning of the universe or something like that, and they were the ones who created the power rings like the one I wear now, and those who use them can create anything just by thinking of it, they send them across the universe searching for those with the strongest will of emotions, I'm only just one of the countless people who were lucky to chosen and those who are chosen, join the Guardian's private police force The Green Lantern Corps."

Izuku was even more curious about the Guardians and the corps, it was only recently he has learned of the existence of other life forms in the universe and now he is learning that their intergalactic police who have the same powers as John.

Izuku then asks John. "Do you think....I would make a good lantern?"

John looked at him and answered. "We would have to see Kid."

When they reached the basketball court, Stewart caught a basketball when a kid dropped and threw it at the hoop, nearly getting but just bouncing off the rim of the hoop as the kid went to get it.

An old man approached the two. "Time once, you could've made that with your eyes closed."

Stewart recognised the man. "Mr. McGee?"

McGee tells him with a smile. "I'm not your history teacher anymore, John. Call me Al."

Stewart says. "Guess I'm a little rusty."

McGee says to him as the boy who caught the basketball runs over next to him. "Well Chris can give you some pointers. He's my grandson."

John was kinda surprised by this. "Grandson?"
