124.Cheeky Husband

Outside the hospital.

Taking his phone out of his pocket, Jungkook called Jimin, "Base in ten minutes."

After saying this, he hung up the call and hopped inside his car and left.

Underworld base.

"Boss." Namjoon greeted Jungkook as he entered the base.

"Where is he?" Jungkook asked.

"He is inside the room." Namjoon said.

Jungkook nodded his head and asked, "And where is Min Yoongi?"

Scratching his head, Namjoon said, "Well You know how he is. As soon as he heard that this man did something wrong with lady boss, Yoongi lost control and wanted to start torturing him. So I order to control him, we had to lock him up in a room."

"Release him and bring him to me." Jungkook said Before walking inside the cell where the man was kept.

Hospital

Standing outside Lisa's room, Hyunjin was thinking about his brother-in-laws weird behaviour.

"What is taking him so long?" Lisa said.

Hyunjin entered the room scratching his head and said, "Ehh sis brother-in-law had something very important to deal with so he said he will visit you later."

Lisa did not say anything.

"Lisa don't mind him he is-" Mother Jeon said.

Lisa smiled and said, "Mom you don't have to give me an explanation." Pausing for a while, she continued, "It's very late now. All of you should go home."

"We can't leave you alone." Rosé said.

"I am not alone stupid. There are doctors and nurses around me. You all don't worry about me. I am fine. Go home and take rest." Lisa said.

Running his hand on her head, Father Kim asked, "Are you sure?"

Lisa nodded her head.

Mother Jeon sighed and said, "I think I should stay."

"Mom I'll be fine. Don't worry." Lisa said.

Mother Jeon nodded her head and said, "Okay. If anything happens don't forget to give me a call okay."

Few hours later.

When Jungkook heard that Lisa was alone, he quickly rushed back to the hospital.

When he entered Lisa's room, she was soundly sleeping.

Jungkook took a deep breath when he saw his wife peacefully sleeping.

Sitting beside her, Jungkook held Lisa's hand and kissed it. God knows how scared he was when he saw her covered in blood. When he saw her pale face, he was frightened to death. What would have happened if something would've happened to her? Jungkook's heart ached for his wife. He wanted to stay with her. He wanted to give her a tight hug but when the thought about him not being able protect her kicked in, he froze.

Inwardly cursing himself he slowly let go her hand, kissed her forehead once and decided to leave. He decided to sit outside.

When Jungkook got up from his seat and was about to leave, a cold but soft hand caught his arm. Jungkook froze.

"Where do you think you are going Mr Jeon? Don't tell me you are planning to abandon your sick wife." Lisa said in a low voice.

When Jungkook did not say anything, Lisa frowned and said, "Now you won't even talk with me. You found yourself you new wife didn't you?"

Jungkook turned towards her and said, "I already I have the most beautiful wife in the world. Why would I need another one?"

Lisa pouted and said, "Then why didn't you visit your beautiful wife when she wanted to see you."

Jungkook lowered his head and did not anything.

"Jungkook. What is the matter?" Lisa asked.

"I-I failed to protect you Lisa. I had promised you that I'll protect you all my life but I failed. I failed even when I was right behind you." Jungkook said.

Lisa smiled and said, "Ohh so this is how Mr Jeon looks when he feels guilty." Pulling his sleeves, Lisa gestured him to sit down.

Following his wife's instruction, Jungkook sat down.

Lisa held his hand and said, "Listen to me. It wasn't your fault at all okay. You were not even aware about it. So stop acting weird and give me a cheeky husband back."

"Promise me that you'll never do that again? Promise me that you'll never hurt yourself in order to protect me. Promise me." Jungkook said.

Lisa frowned and said, "If What happened today happens again, I'll do the same thing again. What did you expect me to do? Did you expect me to stand there and see that man attacking you with that sharp thing? I will never do that. I cannot see you get hurt okay. If something like that would've happened to me, would you stand there and not do anything?" Pausing for a while, Lisa answered, "No you won't. I know you won't. You would've done the same thing that I did today or may be worse."

"I love you." Jungkook said Before kissing her hand.

Lisa smiled and said, "There is nothing to feel guilty or sad about this. We are married now. It's not only you who should protect me but even I should protect you in every possible way I can and I will. Now help me shift."

Jungkook got up and helped her move a little and said, "How is your injury? Is still paining? Do you want me to call the doctor?"

Lisa chuckled and said, "I don't need a doctor. I need my cheeky husband right now." Patting on the empty space, Lisa said, "Sleep next to me."

Jungkook shook his head and said, "You are injured. What if I accidentally hit your wound?"

"Are you sleeping next to me or should I find someone else to warm my bed for the night?" Lisa said firmly.

Jungkook quickly took off his shoes and coat and hopped into the bed.

Placing her head and his chest, Lisa smiled and slowly closed her eyes.
