" don't get greedy on me now, "

"five more minutes," kodine smiled as she pulled negan's arm so he had fallen back onto the bed. he groaned, but couldn't help the small smirk that made its way to his face as his arm draped back over the girl.

"you know i can't stay any longer than i already have, kodine," he said, pushing off the bed. she groaned in protest, again trying to pull his arm back down. she should've known the attempt would be another fail. "i really have to go," he said, pulling his shirt back over his head. it seemed that right after they were finished, negan always had to go. kodine was starting to worry. what if he lied? she asked herself. what if he only wants me for my body?

she heaved a sigh and stepped out of the bed. she let the duvet drop down to her waist and then completely off her body, taunting negan. his eyes glued to her bare back as he slipped his belt through the loops slowly. he wanted so badly to pull it back off, but he knew what it meant. then it was for real. him and kodine wouldn't be just 'casual' anymore, and he'd be looped through a chain and tied to her pinky finger. he would have to follow rules again, and negan didn't follow any rules but his own.

he gulped and peeled his eyes away from kodi, as hard as it was to reject the beautiful girl. she turned around and ran her fingers through her hair, once again taunting the man in front of her. he turned his back to her and sat on the bed, knowing it was the only way he could deny how much he wanted to quit dressing. instead, he slipped on his boots and laced them up.

kodi quietly huffed behind him. instead of giving up, kodine moved across the room, swaying her hips as she walked past the drooling man she'd left on the bed. she entered the bathroom, taking the privacy to smile at herself in the mirror. i'll win, this is the day that negan won't be able to resist me. today. right now.

though, negan didn't even say goodbye. he didn't give her a peck on the cheek or any sort of affection before he left her room. just two subtle knocks on the inside of the door before it shut closed. kodine's jaw dropped slightly in annoyance. how dare he?

she crawled back into her bed and hummed, pulling a shirt over her head. if negan didn't want her, she would find a man who did. so kodi turned around and pulled the curtains away from her window, looking outside at all the saviors-surely at least one of them was suitable. negan walked outside and placed himself among the crowd. although it was hard to ignore him when every other man dropped to their knees at just the sight of their leader. kodine sighed at the sight. negan would win. he always did.

the next day came by quickly, and kodine found herself in the middle of the abandoned factory the saviors called their home. she walked to the stands, just another face among the crowd. she spotted negan talking to dwight at the edge of the room, his eyes flickering over to hers for only a moment before they turned away.

kodi wanted to smile and model walk her way over to him, but she knew she couldn't. instead she began to trade for whatever items she found useful. that was how it was at the sanctuary, you traded for what you wanted and you worked for points.

kodine had been here for only one month, but she was already used to the ways negan had made. she was already blindly following his rules, even if she didn't exactly agree with all of them. there were better ways, sure, but negan was the boss. kodi would have to accept that. well, if i have to accept that, than he can accept this. just as negan left dwight and began walking towards the girl, she turned on her heel and went the opposite direction. she could hear his footsteps follow suit hesitantly.

after a few turns, she finally decided to stop her game of cat and mouse. she stopped at the end of a wooden crate, sifting through bits of metal. small car parts, jewelry, blades, she couldn't even be bothered to really notice. however, she did notice when negan stopped a foot away, his back turned to the girl. he leaned against a post and looked out onto the rest of the saviors. to them, the relationship between their boss and some random girl was nonexistent.

"don't make me chase you kodine, you know what i want," he whispered gruffly. she turned briefly, adjusting to the sound of his voice. he crossed his arms over his chest and awaited her response, but she glared at his back out of the corner of her eye, deciding if she wanted to respond at all.

"i want you to do a lot more than just chase me, negan," she whispered back, brushing past him as she made her way to another stand. she again chose a spot that had less people at it, and negan again came to her side discreetly.

"what do you want, then? i've given you a lot already, you know..." he warned, daring her to ask for more than he had already given her.

kodine sighed, accepting the challenge. "i've given you things to, negan. maybe i want a little in return," she taunted. let's see if negan can figure out this puzzle. she mentally laughed at her inner joke, deciding that she wanted to keep toying with the leader. it was more fun than she had imagined.

"tell me what it is, kodine," he demanded. she sighed once again, seemingly bored with his attitude. why can't he play along? she asked herself.

"you'll find out once i cut you off from your source, baby," she said seductively, passing him with only the slight brush between their arms adding friction. negan watched as she walked away, finally using that model walk she had been saving. he turned his head and looked at the ground, finally realizing what she meant. maybe being casual wasn't so casual after all...
