I stepped out of my car and looked at the house. This was the first case I got to check out on my own while Ed and Lorraine would be taking a day at home with Judy.

Given it was technically, if it's real, my second case ever.. but in reality it was much more than that, I had checked out hoax ones with them all the time; second one today at that.

I looked the house over, it was a nice beige and had a fresh coat, the house had its years though.. I'd definitely say maybe late 1800s or early 1900s. Honestly didn't look like a murder house or a witchy house, or a crazy person house.. maybe crazy happy family, the annoying kind, but other than that nothing bad. But it was a huge house, enough for a big family.

The neighboring houses weren't that far off but definitely wasn't touching toes type of area; but they looked just as nice, from what I could tell. These houses were maybe 30 feet apart. I decided to examine the house some before I walked into it.

This was a few hours away from Monroe.. New Jersey, almost four hours away to be exact.

I got off of my car and walked up to the house and knocked on the door, nothing set alarms off in my head yet.

A teenaged boy threw the door opened and looked me up and down, couldn't be much older than fifteen and looked so happy to see me.. his eye roll made it obvious. His black hair was pulled into a small bun, he had tan skin presumably from playing in the sun.

"Dad, there's a lady here!"

"I'm here to look around the house. The church said you're house might be haunted!" I quickly stated causing footsteps to swiftly come towards us. The Man himself seemed truly excited to see me, he held his hand out. "David Jackson" He said and I took his hand, "Valerie Harris" I said as he let my hand go and let me into the house.

"You've met my oldest, Hank Jackson. My Middle is at a friends house, her name is Hailey Jackson" David said making me nod.

"Where's Ed and Lorraine?"

"I'm sorry to say they won't be joining. I'm here to check the house out" I informed making the man frown, "Of course" She said as she gave me probably her fakest smile she could give.

"I promise I work closely with them, Lorraine is my mentor" I comforted as I looked around the house as we walked to our left, he motioned for me to sit in the living room. "Yes but.. I've never heard of you. I mean I've heard the rumors of a student but–" "I understand. They have their years on me" I said, throwing an inside joke between me and Ed out.

"Would you like anything to drink?" David asked me.

"No thank you, but I would like to ask you a few questions" I said as I slowly pulled a recorder out of my pocket, "Of course" He said making me smile.

I eyed the door to my right.. the vibes didn't give off all good things, but nothing that really worried me at the moment.

I started it and placed it on the table, "When would you say this haunting began?" I asked. The man began playing with his short brown hair, "Small things a few months ago.." He stated.

"Like what?"

"Things would go missing off the table. I'd place my keys down, turn and the next minute they're gone. Or a pair of shoes.. then turn up the next week. Then it turned into bigger things" David stated.

"What else happened?" I inquired.

"Uhm.. lights flickering, things moving in front of us" David stated making me nod.

"And what does Hank think of this?" I asked, "He doesn't believe in any of this stuff.. then Hailey told me she played with an ouija board with her friends, one of them brought it over to the house" David informed making me nod. "When is Hailey coming back?" I asked, "Tomorrow" He told me.
