Before we knew it the sun was up and we had talked the entire night. I had fallen asleep maybe once but I quickly woke up. The night had been filled with small talking about past cases, how Ed and Lorraine met, Judy and Georgiana.. who I've met a few times, a very nice woman.

I periodically went and checked on John. But currently we were all sipping on some coffee waiting for the family to come down, discussing what we could do.

"Mrs. Miller and John's stories were different" Valerie stated making Ed and Lorraine look confused. "Mrs. Miller said that John found a doll and then dug in that spot. John said he saw something move in the woods, he ran after it and tripped on the remains...I think that's when he found the doll" I stated making Ed's face furrow.

"That's weird—" "Good morning".

The four of us quickly turned to see Mrs. Miller, she had a rather.. odd smile and looked at me. Me and Lorraine shared a look, mine was almost scared and hers was worried.

"Valerie, why don't you help me make breakfast?"

I felt uncomfortable under her gaze but nodded with a smile, "Of course" I said as I stood up.

Mrs. Miller walked past Me and I looked at them, I gave a look that showed I was uncomfortable. "Why don't we help?" Lorraine asked making Mrs. Miller stop, "No.. I think me and Ms. Valerie have this under control" She stated, her voice was soft but I didn't believe she had good intentions.

I looked at my little group, mouthing a good 'Fuck No' before I walked into the kitchen. It wasn't far from The Warrens and Drew in any manner but it was just out of their view.

I noticed Lorraine and Ed try to stay out of Mrs. Millers vision but also watch us.. it was  quiet and almost awkward.

"Did your parents teach you how to make pancakes?" She asked me as she mixed the batter making me shake my head. "Ed, Lorraine. You didn't teach her how to make pancakes?" Mrs. Miller asked making the three of us look confused. "What?" Ed asked.

"They aren't my parents" I said with a laugh. "Really? With how worried they seemed about you— and how they introduced you" Mrs. Miller stated making me look confused. I noticed the two of them peak around the corner.

"When I opened the door I asked if you three were the Warren's. If you have a different last name they didn't clarify" Mrs. Miller stated making me calm my laughing down. "My apologies. Valerie Harris, nice to meet you" I said holding my hand out to Mrs. Miller, she shook my hand.

"And I look nothing like them" I stated making her shrug, "Adoption, I don't know" Mrs. Miller shrugged as she handed me the batter. I looked at her confused, "You're learning how to make pancakes" She stated and turned on the stove.

I walked out of the bathroom in a pair of dark grey pants and a decent shirt with a grey jacket in the small bathroom downstairs. I pulled my hair out of my face into a small rather odd looking ponytail, I knew it wouldn't hold well with my short hair; a few strands of hair had already fallen into my face.

"It's hot, and you're wearing a jacket?"

I turned to Drew and smiled, "Yeah, what's wrong with that?" I asked with a smile. "Oh, just it's hot outside" Drew poorly joked making me roll my eyes.

"Ed and Lorraine are already outside, Mary is with Elizabeth and John is with David who is outside" Drew explained as he walked towards the living room, grabbing the camera equipment I assumed.

I walked out towards the back door and outside to see Lorraine and Ed talking quietly, Ed looking worried and Lorraine just the same. David had John smiling in his obvious horrible mood. Neither of the groups seemed to notice me.
