This is actually pretty funny, why write a memoir about a life that hasn't even been half lived? I believe that we have to write the important things in life, even if they seem insignificant in ten years or even a week. Honestly, I don't feel like I'm the brightest of people of there and I'm not the best at school. My name is Grayson and I'm an only child, a spoiled one at that.
I went to a small elementary school, Pittman, and that's where I met my best friend Kade. It was the place where some of my greatest memories were made. However, life can't just be black and white. A lot of terrible memories bury their way out of my mind sometimes. Kade has been my best friend since kindergarten and played a significant part in my evolution as a person.
I recall not going to preschool, but my family says that I did. I don't have any old friends from there, I am almost positive that it was Bingham Elementary. Shortly after that anonymous year of wonder years, I went to Kindergarten at Pittman. I had and remember the many teachers that helped me through elementary. Mrs. Parson, Kindergarten. Mrs. Phillips, 1st & 4th Grade. Mrs. Machin, 2nd Grade. Mrs. Mills, 3rd Grade. Mrs. Ceperely, 5th Grade. So, as i just said, these were those teachers that helped me. One very specific memory that I have from elementary school was something called the "kissing tree". Now, I don't know who in the hell came up with that name, but whatever. Behind that tree, almost 1,000 feet from the school, people would go behind the tree and kiss. I never did behind the tree, I had times where it was just in plain sight. Whatever. There was a lot of stuff that happened during Elementary school, but i guess it couldn't have resulted any better than it already did.
I'm going to wrap up this chapter, for the most part, because i have no other memories of Wonder Years, but trust me. That doesn't mean I don't have a lot in elementary school.
